SINCE 1835
Bott Frères Wines
A Long History
from 1835 to the Present
Wine producers from father to son, 3 generations are today united in order to
maintain and enrich the Bott family know-how for future generations.
Tradition and quality are paramount;
the harvest has always been done by hand,
while the cultivation process has been well
thought out.
Pruning and green harvesting limit the
production, thus ensuring the creation of high
quality wines. The harmony of our wines reflects
the limestone, chalk-sandstone, or clay-limestone soils.

The great Vintage wines
(Grands Crus)
51 especially well exposed slopes
produce wines typified by their
climatic and geological criteria
(terroir). Rigorous requirements of
the I.N.A.O. (monitoring agency
for wine) specify the grape yield,
the alcohol level of the wines and
their characteristics.
Only Riesling, Pinot-Gris,
Gewurztraminer and Muscat can
claim this prestigious classification
providing they have been harvested
on these slopes.

PURE E XPRESSION OF THE NATURE
Grand Cru Riesling Kirchberg of Ribeauvillé
A clay soil, often pebbly and on a steep slope, characterise this vineyard, located
between 270 and 350 meters in altitude. Riesling and Muscat take best advantage
of the sunny exposure of this 11.40 acre vineyard.
It was quoted for the first time, back in 1328 by the famous historian Medard Barth.
Fine and well structured, the Ribeauvillé, Alsace Grand Cru Kirchberg displays an
elegant bouquet which over time develops characteristic of the clayey-limestone soil.
Grand Cru Riesling Osterberg
This is a wine which expresses itself over the course of time.
The marl-chalky soil gives to this wine its specific characteristics of freshness
coupled with a taste of gun flint. A fruity aroma and a distinctive bouquet make
this great Riesling a companion for the finest shellfish and fish specialties.
Grand Cru Pinot-Gris Gloeckelberg
The Pride of the House, it grows on an ancient plot of land with a soil consisting
of schist, coarse sand and clay. It is a wine which expresses itself over time.
Powerfully structured, with a delicate aroma of ripe fruit and a flowery bouquet,
this Pinot-Gris is destined for great occasions and refined dishes : browned foie gras,
sweetbread, but can also be served as an aperitif.
Alsace Crémant
A wine for all occasions
Already in the last century, several Alsatian wine-makers produced a high
quality sparkling wine employing the same method and process as wine-makers
in the Champagne region.
It is at its best served with foie gras or caviar, for starters among friends,
but also to honour a special dinner. Adding one of Bott Frères’ fruit liqueurs
to the Crémant, will give it even more originality as an aperitif.
Bott Frères’ Crémants d’Alsace
The Crémant Q.V. Paul bears the first name of the son of the house,
the seventh generation. It is a dry and lively Crémant,
made exclusively from Pinot Blanc.
Produced using the traditional method, our Crémant “Cuvée Nicole”
is a reasoned and harmonious composition of Pinot Blanc and Pinot-Gris.
It bears the first name of the mistress of the house, a sign of
refinement and femininity. Delicacy, suppleness, balance
and freshness, charcaterise our Crémant.
The Rosé Crémant has a superb color with the subtle hints
of cherry, present in the Pinot Noir grape-variety.
In Crémant we offer :
- Crémant Brut Q.V. Paul
- Crémant Brut Cuvée Nicole
- Crémant Brut Rosé

A little advice in order to best appreciate our wines
Alsatian wines are best appreciated in their youth, between 2 and 5 years old ; however, they
possess an aptitude for aging, especially Great Vintage, Late harvest and Noble Grape Selection
wines. The character of Alsatian wines rarely changes once bottled. Laid down in a cellar with a
stable temperature between 10° and 15°C, sheltered from the light, Alsatian wines will retain
their freshness for many years.
Crémants are to be enjoyed young. Serve Crémant in flute-glasses in order to preserve its
precious bubbles
The Alsatian guaranteed vintages
Alsatian wines are recognised by the names of the grape varieties and their
3 classifications : Alsace wine AOC, Alsace Grand Cru (51 crus), and Crémant
d’Alsace. There may be additional mentions of location, and quality : “Noble
Grape Selection” and “Late Harvest”(Vendanges Tardives).
7 grape varieties are grown and get the classification of the Alsace
guaranteed vintage label. Edelzwicker is a composition of varieties and
its quality will be a reflection of the know-how of the wine-maker.
The wine is always bottled on the premises of the wine grower.
The Confrérie Saint-Étienne
(Saint-Étienne brotherhood)
We are members of the Saint Stephen
Brotherhood, which holds its sessions in
the Kientzheim castle and guards the
honor of Alsatian wines. Through its
Seal of Approval (Sigillé), this noble
brotherhood selects and rewards
top quality wines.

Our Muscat Tradition,

Pascal Leonnetti,

(“3 stars in the Michelin guide”) :
Muscat Tradition
“The nose is remarkable, firstly in its character and
the complexity of aromas, but also its refreshing
nature. This wines’ sense of balance is achieved
by its freshness, it displays the elegance and
distinction of this truly beautiful grape variety.
This Muscat is ideally served as an aperitif; In
addition one could offer this wine at the start of
a meal, or perhaps with a fresh goat’s cheese.”
Other great chefs have recommended Bott Frères’
wines for their finesse and quality. Be it at fine
gastronomic places or at your own table, our
excellent wines are simply indispensable.
The Art of Distilling,
an Ancient Tradition
Distilling, an ancestral know-how
Distilling generally takes place during winter.
The fruits are placed in the still’s cauldron, made entirely of copper.
A very delicate simmering releases the spirit, which then collects in the copper
coils, therefore afterwards descending drop by drop. This operation is undertaken
a second time with the liquid of the first distillation.
The young and impetuous spirit obtained requires a slow aging process in order
to fully express its delicacy and refinement.

Our fruit spirits
Thanks to our careful selection of the fruits, the spirits will
charm you through their subtle essence and aromas.
Fruit liqueurs
We recommend our fine fruit liqueurs to you :
Raspberry, sloe, Williams pear, Mirabelle (yellow sweet
prunes), quince and peach, raspberry or quetsch cream.
Mirabelle “Grande Réserve”
This is the pride of the Bott Frères’ Domain in spirits, derived from the very best
mirabelle fruit, picked at perfect ripeness and rich in sunshine and sugar:
It is a fine spirit with a distinctive bouquet; we store it
for several years, in its demijohn, so that it can
fully express its delicate taste.
