2016 FERRARI TRIBUTE TO TARGA FLORIO
Sicily, 5 - 8 May 2016
TARGA FLORIO
Conceived and organised by Vincenzo Florio, what was to become the
world's oldest motorsports race was disputed for the first time on 6
May 1906.
To celebrate the 100th edition of the Targa Florio, the 2016 iteration
combines four distinct competitions in a single event:
• Targa Florio Rally
• Targa Florio Historic Rally
• Targa Florio Classic
• Targa Florio Historic Speed
Automotive history comes to life in the places where it first
began, perpetuating a culture that is not only distinctly Italian,
but also part of the heritage of the world.
The cars and roads that witnessed the exploits and victories of
legendary drivers such as Fangio, Varzi, Nuvolari, Merzario,
Vaccarella take centre stage once again to realise the dream of
the automobile, embodying its timeless appeal and our
culture during a week dedicated to historical Italian
motorsports.
2016 FERRARI TRIBUTE TO TARGA FLORIO
In the year marking the 100th edition of the Targa
Florio, it goes without saying that Ferrari will be paying
homage to the historical Sicilian race.
The event consists of an authentic regularity rally
pitting classic and modern Ferraris against each other
on the spectacular roads of Sicily.
An event combining the competitive, sports spirit of a
motorsports race with the chance to discover
breathtaking landscapes and experience the art, culture
and gastronomy of picturesque villages.
All Ferraris of any age are eligible
to participate.
The event is organised by ACI.
