Chamber welcomes new Board Chair at 90th Annual Banquet

the Agriculture Award for his years of
work; Steve VanBooven was presented
the Education Service Award, and Danny
and Sarah Donhauser were honored as
Tourism Partners of the Year for their
work at ZDT Amusement Center.
Starcke Furniture received the Small
Business of the Year award and Guadalupe
Regional Medical Center was named the
Large Business of the Year.
A new feature this year was the
Centerpiece Contest - Judge’s choice was
the Seguin Gazette Enterprise with it’s
multi-tasking newsperson and People’s
Choice honors were given to Guadalupe
Regional Medical Center and Guadalupe
Healthcare Network for their ‘living doll’
centerpiece.

CAT, as its guest speaker. Along with the
program which touched on Holt’s ‘ValuesBased Leadership,’ the banquet also was

McKee Archeological Site Tours – Floyd and Jody McKee’s home is the site of an ongoing
archeological excavation uncovering hundreds of arrowheads, spear points and other Native American artifacts along the banks of the Guadalupe River. According to Bob Everett, a
steward with the Texas Historical Commission’s Texas Archeological Stewardship Network,
“This is the richest archeological site I’ve seen on the Guadalupe River in 35 years.”
