D.G. Kom has been registered with The Minist r y
of Finance (MOF) on the 27th October 1985 as a vendo r
providing solution in the a reas of Ha rdwa re, Sys tem
S o f t wa r e, Suppo r t and S e r vices as well as Trainin g.
We are also registered as a Bumiputra compu ter supplie r.

RM 100,000 in our foundation year to a remark able su m
of nea rly RM 50 million 20 years la ter. Our paid-up capita l
has also inc reased to RM 8.1 million compa red to jus t
RM 20,000 two decades ag o.

e-Perolehan as the p referred channel for all g overnmen t
rela ted transa ction s, we have successfully in tegra ted
PDR M’s COPS with e-Service s, enabling the public to pay
summonses online via in ternet .
With expe rtise within D.G. Kom and its pa rtner s,

In May 2006, the g overnment th rough KKDN ha s
awarded D.G. Kom with a contra ct worth RM 42.8 millio n
for the mi gration of 17 mainframe applications wit h
enhancements and additional secu rity features to an “open”
plat form (UNIX). It was an evidence and ac knowledgemen t
of our capabilities and e xcellence track records that we
have been maintaining over the year s.
5. 1 APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & CUSTOMIZATION
D.G. K om was i nvolvedin the red evelopmen t
of a c r itical application and mi gration of data f rom a
proprieta ry database to a Relational Database Manag ement Based Application with Polis Di Raja Malaysia (PDRM) .
5. 2 DATA COMMUNICATIONS
The application has been successfully mi grated
earlier than the contra cted time and is cu rrently runnin g
and used by all T
Police Dist ricts within the count ry.
The application has recei ved the ‘Innovati ve Award’ as
recognized by the Mal aysian Government. D.G. K om i s
still doing the main tenance and other suppo rt ser vice s
for the application .
As comprehensi ve IT solutions i nvolve networking
(LAN and WAN), we have in-house expe r ts to plan an d
implement our cus tomer s’ data communication need s.
D.G. K om has e x t ensi v e expe r iences in the dat a
d, from simple Local A rea Ne twork to
complex Wide A rea Ne twork and utilization of va riou s
network p rotocol s.
We have also unde r ta k en other so f t wa re
development p roje cts inco rporating the la test client /
se r ver and web -based d evelopment tools for othe r
organization s. We were invol ved in d eveloping webbased application which is cu rrently being implemen ted
at K emen terian K eselamatan Dalam Nege ri (formerly
k nown as K emen terian Dalam Nege ri). From the re,
systems are being in tegrated to Immigration Department ,
National Registration and PDRM .

more than 140 si tes. D.G. K om has been given th e

colleges and other building s.
