CATERING SERVICES 5 Business The company Ladisa S.p.A. also organises made-to-measure services for private companies: our team of experts can offer planning proposals to manage catering services for private companies (including factories), acquiring existing meal preparation facilities or building them from scratch. Moreover, our presence throughout the country means we can offer catering on wheels, satisfying all possible customer needs. Quality Foodstuffs Using an established network of suppliers and logistics with platforms in different regions of Italy, we can supply foodstuffs and non-food products to both private and public companies within 24 hours. Tradition Bio, Dop and Igp The company is characterised by its use of products which are organic, short supply chain, D.o.p (protected denomination of origin) and I.p.g (protected geographical indication). Our selection of organic producers who do not use pesticides or artificial fertiliser is part of our environmental mission and is complemented by our choice of D.o.p and I.p.g products to safeguard both regional identity and short supply chains, thus reducing the number of stages in foodstuff supply. CATERING SERVICES 6 Environment Green methods Ladisa S.p.A. has been aware of environmental issues for a number of years; we were one of the first catering companies to align our production to meet the requirements of Italian Ministerial Decree no.25 on eco-friendly catering (law passed on 25/7/11). Every service provided uses methane-powered transport and energy saving equipment and favours raw materials with a low environmental impact. Safety Food traceability CSB is a specialised management software tool which allows us to check all movements of food products in real time, from the moment they enter the company production cycle (stock provision) until the final phase of meal preparation. It is also allows us to plan our supplies, so reducing transportation and helping to protect the environment. Logistics Platforms The company uses a logistics network which extends throughout Italy. It is based on a series of certified logistics platforms which guarantee efficiency, food safety and management control, with warehouses of over 1,000 m² handling tens of thousands of items. Such a high level of organisation allows us to continuously provide stock and renew provisions in a matter of hours. OUR OPERATIONAL PRACTICES 7 Research The laboratory The company’s laboratory is equipped with the latest equipment to analyse foodstuffs used during the production process. Specialised, qualified staff carry out daily microbiological checks on raw materials and prepared meals, as well as environmental swabs on surfaces and utensils. Invention Planning and design Thanks to a dedicated staff of architects, engineers, surveyors and interior designers, Ladisa S.p.A. can design and create innovative meal preparation centres, bars, restaurants, kitchens and fully equipped, operational warehouses of all types and sizes. Demand Global Service Over recent years, the company has developed its expertise in the provision of services such as caretaking, cleaning, maintenance, gardening and reception. Training Given the continuous changes in the field of collective catering, the staff who work in this field daily require constant development. From the first day of employment (and regularly thereafter), Ladisa S.p.A. assists employees in a training programme aided by a team of professional experts within the field. We offer training courses (including personalised modules) on areas such as Hygiene and Self-Monitoring, Nutrition and Dietetics, Service Quality, Environmental Management Procedures ISO 14001, Workplace Health and Safety and Internal and External Communication. Investing in the future Working with selected university faculties, Ladisa S.p.A. periodically enrols recent graduates on training placement schemes. In most cases, at the end of these internships the trainees are hired in the administrative, management and commercial departments, offering them a valid employment opportunity. OUR STRENGTHS 10 Looking beyond borders Our business plan for the period 2016-2020 sets out an investment of over €40 million to establish new platforms, meal preparation centres and merger and acquisition ventures. Above all, it includes two ambitious projects, Fattoria Italia (Italian Farm), a made-in-Italy brand for foreign development and Piatti Pronti, a new line of ready-made meals. In addition to consolidating our business in the north of Italy, these current lines of investment aim towards the development of innovative internationalisation projects, targeted at new market niches in Europe and overseas. OUR TRANSPARENCY 12 A Top Class Brand “Che Bontà” is the commercial brand name of Ladisa’s Piatti Pronti, Semilavorati and IV Gamma lines. Ladisa S.p.A. is dedicated to B2B e and B2C initiatives (Business to Business, Business to Consumer). Ladisa S.p.A. has designed and planned an optimisation of these meal lines both for national and international markets. Our investment in this venture will see the establishment of new specialised production plants and an organisation unit which can produce tens of thousands of packaged meals for mass retail channel markets. PIATTI PRONTI - READY-MADE MEALS Ready-made meals are at the forefront of our marketing strategy for the “Che Bontà” line. They include classic recipes from traditional Mediterranean cuisine in a range of 20 dishes, from pasta and main courses to salads and side dishes. These are available in practical packaging to be stored in the fridge and are ready to eat in a matter of minutes. Among the dishes on offer are three classic examples of Apulian cuisine, broad beans with chicory, aubergine bake and orecchiette pasta in meat sauce. 13 From fridge to table SEMILAVORATI - SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCTS The second line of “Che Bontà” dishes are semi-finished products; meat, cured meats and cheeses. In the state-of-the-art, 12,000 m² Bari plant, weight-measured red and white meat is selected and packaged, both in vacuum sealed containers and in CAP (controlled atmosphere packaging); these include meatballs, hamburgers, minced meat and boned or non-boned cutlets as well as other types of products. The same procedures are used for cold cuts and dairy products. This allows us to prepare and distribute a wide range of cured meats and cheeses which are sliced, weighed and packaged in a variety of formats, according to customer requirements. IV GAMMA – THE FOURTH RANGE The third line of “Che Bontà” dishes is that of fourth range products such as fruit and vegetables. These are freshly picked and selected before being pre-washed and packaged, ready to be tasted by even the most demanding consumers. DESSERTS The latest product available is our line of desserts.
