Twinkled Stencils Tutorial June/July 2009 Twinkled Stencils Tutorial This tutorial uses Twinkling H20’s to add the twinkling accent, but if you do not have any, use powdered pearls or even a gold inkpad to add shimmer. Just use what you have on hand! Supplies: - Plastic or Brass Stencil - Bleach - Colored Cardstock - One or two colors of Twinkling H20’s - Stippling Brush - Water-filled Spray Bottle - Heat Tool - Container to hold Bleach - Cut ‘n Dry Pad or Cosmetic Sponge Step One: Place a small amount of bleach into the container. © 2002-2009Patstamps.com Step Two: Dip the Cut n’ Dry pad or cosmetic sponge into the bleach. Dampen the sponge without soaking. If the sponge picks up to much bleach, dab onto a scrap piece of paper or paper towel to remove excess. Step Three: Step Four: Place the stencil over the cardstock. Holding the stencil firmly in place, dab the sponge over the stencil’s pattern. If the stencil has excess bleach on it, dab with a paper towel to remove excess. Step Five: Step Six: Step Seven: Step Eight: Remove stencil and dry with a heat tool. Use the stipple brush to pick up the H20s on the ends of the bristles. © 2002-2009Patstamps.com Soften the Twinkling H20’s by spritzing them with water. Place stencil back in place over the cardstock. Stipple the H20 color over the bleached areas lightly to add color. Step Nine: Do not cover the entire piece with color, rather use the color to highlight the stenciled areas. Allow the H20s to dry thoroughly.
