Explorer Express is issued twice a month
to keep you up to date on the amazing
things happening at our school!
Mrs. Owens' 3rd grade class read the book "First Day Jitters" and drank some jitter juice to get rid of the
nervous feelings about the first day of school, new friends, new teachers, and a new school. Afterwards,
they were able to work in pairs to conduct an interview to get to know a new friend in their class!

Lakewood enjoys our annual Party on the
Playground! It’s a great time for students
and parents to meet our PTA, as well as,
join PTA if they haven’t done so. Teachers
and students are also able to mingle and
celebrate the beginning of school.
