LUXEMBOURG AS CULTURAL CAPITAL OF EUROPE
2007 WITH TICKETING FROM CTS EVENTIM
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Ticket sales for the numerous events that will be taking place
as part of the ‘Luxembourg: Cultural Capital of Europe 2007’
celebrations are managed using software systems developed
by the CTS EVENTIM Group. For the first time ever, a special
customer card integrated into this proven ticketing system will
be in use. In collaboration with the General Coordinator of
Cultural Capital 2007 and the local ticketing partner,
Luxembourg Ticket, EVENTIM has developed the ‘Pass 2007’
system, a personal customer card valid for a whole year. This
is just one way in which the company is bringing its technology
leadership to the fore.
Luxembourg is the first European city to bear the ‘Cultural Capital’
title for the second time, having been ‘European City of Culture’
back in 1995. The programme of events that Luxembourg will be
presenting to the broader region in 2007 is accordingly large: in an
area with more than 11 million inhabitants, more than 350 cultural
projects are in planning, including music, theatre, exhibitions,
workshops and much more besides.
For a full year, ‘Pass 2007’ grants the bearer free entry to exhibitions, as well as a 20% price reduction for most stage events
included in Luxemburg 2007. Pass holder rights are verified by the
EVENTIM software as soon as tickets are purchased – not only at
the box office, but also via the Internet.

Switzerland’s leading event organisers with 150 to 200 events

in 2000, TicTec AG is the operator of the TicTec system and the

event organisers, operates more than 70 box offices in
Switzerland and Liechtenstein and deploys new technologies
such as electronic access control and ‘Mobile Ticketing’. In the
current business year, the company is aiming for ticketing volume in excess of one million.

Christina Aguilera – sensuous and multifaceted
(on tour in Germany from 05.12.2006 – 13.12.2006)
Spectacular performances, vocal perfection and chameleon-like transformability are the trademarks of Christina Aguilera, who so far has sold
more than 25 million albums worldwide. Her debut album in summer
1999 shot straight to the top of the album charts. In 2001, Aguilera joined up with P!nk, Mya and Lil’
Kim to make the single and video for ‘Lady Marmalade’. Her second album, ‘Stripped’, made her a
superstar once and for all. With ‘Back To Basics’, she’s now paying tribute as a singer to the music
that’s inspired her since childhood days.

Motörhead – „Kiss Of Death“
(on tour in Germany from 29.11.2006 – 12.12.2006)
‘We are Motörhead and we play Rock’n’Roll.’ These were the words with
which Lemmy Kilmister, frontman of the band formed way back in 1975,
likes to kick off his concerts. Motörhead play a hard ’n fast style of rock
that wakens associations with punk, and are one of the most influential rock or heavy metal bands in
the world. Now they can be seen live in Germany with their latest album, ‘Kiss Of Death’.

La Bomba Latina is coming to Germany with her ‘Oral Fixation Tour’! Three
years after her global breakthrough album ‘Laundry Service’, Shakira
turned the music world on its head yet again in 2005 by releasing two long
players within a mere six months: ‘Fijacion Oral Vol. 1’ and ‘Oral Fixation Vol. 2’. The celebrated
Columbian singer took the charts by storm with her single ‘Don’t Bother’, and more recently Shakira got
the crowd going with her appearance in the lead-up to the World Cup Football Final in 2006.
Swing Legenden – Unforgettable Classics
(on tour in Germany from 05.01.2007 – 03.04.2007)
Let’s play it again – the Swing Legends are back! Following the sensational success of their ‘Tribute to Glenn Miller’ tour, Max Greger, Paul
Kuhn and Hugo Strasser will be taking to Germany’s stages once again
in early 2007. Accompanied by the SWR Big Band, their ‘Best of Swing Legends’ programme is their
way of paying homage to the unforgotten classics. Be it Glenn Miller’s ‘In the Mood’ and ‘MoonlightSerenade’, or world hits by Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington or Count Basie – the Swing Legends will
