One key measure of a bank’s financial strength is its capital
ratios. A strong capital position can enable a bank to
withstand the kinds of economic challenges we continue
to see today.
At June 30, 2016 City National Bank had
capital ratios that easily exceeded regulatory standards.
Under Basel III capital rules, which became effective for the
bank on January 1, 2015, City National’s common equity
Tier 1 ratio was 9.2% at June 30, 2016.
MAXIMUM FULL FDIC PROTECTION
All types of deposit accounts held at City National Bank,
including checking and savings accounts, money market
accounts, retirement accounts and certificates of deposit,
are covered by FDIC insurance up to the standard
maximum deposit insurance amount. Non-deposit
investment accounts are not insured by the FDIC.
The standard FDIC deposit insurance coverage is $250,000
per depositor and account ownership type.
