So, dust off and clean up those Antique Tractors & Engines and bring

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!! We are looking for people to help out, in the

If you are bringing engines, spend some time at the fair by running
your engines or tractors….. Again, call Ron or Dan if you can help out.
Just a reminder, we are having a work party at 9 AM prior to our
Regular Scheduled Club Meeting, on August 10th.
Thank You,

RUSTY RELICS
BUSINESS MEETING
LAST HELD JUNE 1, 2013
FAMILY FUN DAY’S JULY 13, 2013
Secretary: Cheryle Stacey reported that we had no club meeting on
July 13th at Family Fun Day’s, due to not enough Club Officer’s present
for a quorum.
We did have in attendance 22 members.
We had a great time, weather not to hot and lots of food & deserts.
All though someone forgot to inform the city that we would be there
for our annual BBQ. They forgot to turn off the lawn sprinklers at High
Noon. But thanks to Ron Hanson’s quick thinking, he came to the
rescue by laying tables on the sprinkler heads.
Thank You so much Ron, for all your hard work cooking all the Hot
Dogs & Hamburgers, setting up and taking down….You are not
unappreciated.
Club Secretary – Cheryle Stacy

CLETRAC GENERAL 'GG' was built from 1939- 1942 by the Cleveland
Tractor Company (Cletrac) founded by Roland White. It had a 4
cylinder Hercules 113 cubic inch engine and a 3 speed transmission. It
was also marketed as the Wards Twin- Row and Co-Op which were
painted red. The Wards Twin-Row was made for and sold by
Montgomery Ward. The engineer in charge came from the Studebaker
Corporation. Cletrac was taken over by Oliver in 1944. Oliver was
purchased by the White Corporation in 1960. The General "GG" was
sold in Canada by Massey Harris dealers. The General "GG" was sold to
the B.F. Avery Company in 1942. Avery was sold in the early 1950's to
Minneapolis Moline.
My General "GG" has been in the Branch 22 family for a number of
years. It was found on a ranch east of San Diego, CA in very bad shape
by a Branch 22 member. It is #45 of 7527 built. I picked it up on April
30, 2013 and it was shown on May 5th at the Antique Truck Show in
Perris, CA. On May 11th, it was one of 55 tractors at The Strawberry
Festival at Cal Poly, Pomona, CA. I was invited to The Steve McQueen
Car Show on June 1st at The Boys Republic in Chino Hills, CA where it
was displayed with an Oil Pull, McCormick 04, and 2 Porsche tractors.
Boys Republic was founded in 1907. The program works with troubled
teens, both boys and girls at separate campuses. They are taught how
to get along with people, work skills, trades and are employable.
Steve McQueen spent 13 months there as a troubled teen. Six years
ago, "The Friends of Steve McQueen" car show started to raise money
and has turned out to be a great success.
During the hot weather we may not be as safe as we should be, so
take that extra time to be safe.
For those of you that have commented on how much you have
enjoyed the High Desert Antique Power website, Branch 65, sorry to
say, because of a few it is no longer available.

Coordinator
