BODY CLONE: As the name implies, garments in this category contour
perfectly to the body, forming a “second skin” that makes every movement
feel natural and comfortable. These garments are constructed from
new patterns designed on a curve to follow the anatomic form of a
cyclist in the riding position.
ULTIMATE: The Ultimate performance garments are designed to have an
aggressive performance fit that moves with your body while on the bike.The
idea is to forget about what you’re wearing and focus on the ride. The entire Ultimate category was conceived and manufactured using only the finest
materials and the utmost care to create premium products guaranteed to
perform at the highest level.
PRO LEVEL: The Pro Level Category is comprised of the authentic Giordana® team garments as well as original designs that feature
the GITA brands. Clothing in these collections offer the same fit and
perfomance that our Giordana sponsored professional teams enjoy.
PERFORMANCE:This category showcases the performance and value that
is unique to Giordana.All clothing in this category is designed to meet the
technical demands of the cyclist of all abilities. The Performance category,
with its wide range of garments, is the ideal teammates for athletes who
love cycling.
SPORT: Giordana invests all of its experience in each of our apparel categories.The Sport category is no exception. Garments included in this category
are ready for high performance training. Each piece incorporates the same

name implies, Body Clone garments contour

FormaRed Carbon™ Jersey
FormaRed Carbon Bib Shorts
The new FR-Carbon garments for 2009 represent the latest in the award-winning Forma collection. The FR-C Jersey is the best Giordana has ever developed. A new ultra-light fabric
called Asteria™ is used for the majority of the jersey, keeping the overall weight of the piece
to a minimum. Incredibly soft, the fabric is 14% spandex and utilizes a honeycomb knit, allowing omni-directional stretch for optimal fit. Its properties of superior wicking and elasticity are
woven into the fabric and will not lesson over time, so the jersey will continue to perform. A
second fabric,Ametista™, lends the Carbon element to the FR-C name. Ametista has threads of
carbon woven through it, allowing the material to be lighter, while maintaining its strength. The
carbon reinforces for durability and also limits the stretch in key areas. Carbon has the added
benefit of reducing electrical interference around internal organs. Used on the cuffs and at the
waist, Ametista effectively negates the need for grippers, holding the jersey perfectly in place
with a seamless feel. In these cases, Ametista is backed by Antigua™ fabric on the inside. This
red material is perforated to create pockets of air next to the skin and to allow airflow to pass
through. The result is a light, breathable gripper system that keeps the skin cool and dry underneath. A fourth fabric, MCK™, forms the Y shape of the back panel. MCK is chosen specifically
for this location to limit the vertical stretch in the back and stabilize the pockets, preventing sag
when they’re loaded. The shape of the panel eliminates puckers and creases by ergonomically
following the body’s contours. A separate pattern piece wraps the collar to isolate the neck and
head, preventing pulling and bunching in the riding position. The rest of the jersey is constructed
of X-Fine, a fifth and final micro-mesh fabric that allows maximum breathability. The jersey is
sewn with flat stitched seams. A full CamLock™ zip in front has flaps of fabric at the top and
bottom to protect the materials from the zipper teeth. Three rear pockets with a fourth CamLock zippered compartment allow for storage. Reflective stripes along the sides of the center
back pocket add visibility.While this garment is ideal for very hot weather, it can be worn over a
base layer for adequate coverage in surprisingly cool weather as well. Sizes S-3XL
Introducing the third generation bib short from the award winning Giordana Forma collection.
The new FR-Carbon Bib Shorts are derived from the revolutionary FormaRed™ Bibs and are
now easily the most advanced on the market. The signature red color on the inside of the leg
bands and uppers is still there to identify this Alta Gamma collection. Also like the FormaRed,
the FR-C Bibs are constructed of HC-44 fabric. But this model adds a new fabric that lends the
carbon element to the garment. Ametista fabric has threads of carbon woven into it, which control the stretch of the fabric, reinforce the strength and add the benefit of repelling electronic
interference from cell phone towers and power lines that can negatively affect performance.
This new fabric is utilized on panels at the sides and onto the back of the shorts. The fabric appears pinstriped due to the threads of carbon. Ametista is also used in the bib uppers and at the
cuffs. At these locations, it is backed by Antigua fabric, which has perforations that create air
pockets against the skin and allow air to permeate. Newly shaped cut outs in the uppers eliminate excess fabric and ergonomically conform to the body on the bike. The uppers are lighter
and more breathable as a result. No seams are used at all in the uppers, which lie completely
flat and smooth against the body. Instead of stopping at the end of the straps, the Ametista continues down to wrap the internal organs around the waist. At the leg bands, the combination of
the two fabrics enhances the benefit of traditional grippers, keeping the garment in place seamlessly. Reflective elements add visibility to the legs. An iPocket™ is incorporated into the bib
at the back. Giordana believes that this location is superior to carrying a pda in a jersey pocket.
This position allows more freedom of movement and secures the device close to the body for
a more aerodynamic silhouette. Like all Body Clone level bibs and shorts, the FR-C Bibs feature
the T-Select Gel OmniForm™ insert. It is formed using a high-frequency molding process that
eliminates heat and thus, damage to the material, so there are no hard edges. A synthetic gel is
inserted in the middle section to increase protection and reduce vibration. The pad contours
to the body in motion and returns to its original shape every time. Sizes S-2XL

FormaRed Carbon Gloves
A new level glove from Giordana, the FR-C is designed for our top of the line Body Clone
category. The same Ametista™ fabric used in the FR-C level bibs and shorts is utilized here on
either side of the back of the hand. Ametista is lightweight, wicking and has an omni-directional
stretch to perfectly conform to the shape of the hand. Down the middle of the back of the hand,
MCK™ mesh is used for breathability. The incorporation of carbon fibers in both materials
repels electrical interference and UV rays. The FR-C gloves have a soft terry thumb and durable
Pittards leather with light padding on the palm for comfort. Slip-on fit, no straps or fasteners.

FormaRed™ Bib Shorts
Forma Summer Gloves
The FormaRed™ Bib Short incorporates all the technical advantages of its predecessor and takes
them to the next level. The bibs use a combination of two fabrics: HC44™ and Moxie ™. The
44 in HC44 refers to the number of threads per centimeter in the material. This ultra compact
knit is lighter weight, yet offers the performance enhancing higher compression rates previously
found only in heavier fabrics. Double layer moxie is used in the uppers which ceates a seamless
design that feels like you have nothing on. Together, these two materials make the bib softer,
dryer and more supple. You’ll know FormaRed by the signature red color on the inside of the
bib uppers. The back of the bib features an open window that makes the garment lighter and
maximizes ventilation. Dual layer Moxie™ leg cuffs negate the need for grippers so the shorts
stay in perfect position while you feel nothing but comfort. The Italian colors around the Body
Clone™ label ensure the best quality Italian craftsmanship is sewn into every garment. Reflective logos and a reflective strip aid with visibility on the road. The back of the bibs has an
iPocket™ for your music player, mobile phone, or storage of other small items. The quad stitch
construction creates flat seams that are more than just comfortable. The four parallel seams
isolate the stretch of the material panels, thus enabling more control over the fit and performance of the garment. In isolating the stretch, the system of seams also isolates muscle groups
and produces a massaging effect on the muscles, which delays muscle fatigue. Body Clone men’s

The Forma™ summer gloves are designed to complement our award-winning Forma level garments. On the back of the hand is a strip of MCK™ mesh for ventilation in the summer heat.
It is flanked by two pieces of Moovix omni stretch material for optimum fit. The combination
of these two materials and their placement create a streamlined silhouette that fits your hand
without restricting movement. No straps or fasteners are used for the glove’s unique slip on
fit. There is a soft terry cloth thumb and a durable Pittard’s leather palm for the cushioning and

Body Clone socks are Italian made and constructed with Tactel®, a dynamic and versatile fiber that is lightweight, breathable, comfortable, quick drying and easy to care for. In addition,
Nostatex® Pure Silver fabric is utilized for its many beneficial qualities. Because of the silver
element, the fabric is anti-static, anti-stress and anti-bacterial. It provides and promotes temperature regulation, UV protection, circulation and durability. There is no elastic in the cuffs that
can break down over time. Lycra is used instead for long-lasting performance, even after many
washings. The socks are contoured to your foot and left/right specific for optimum fit. Offered
for men in three cuff heights.

Made from Moovix™ and Aerostat™, a mesh-like material, the Laser jersey sports an entirely
new look this season. The unique omni-directional stretch of Moovix fabric makes the jersey fit
like a second skin. Large panels of Aerostat form a U shape in the front and a Y shape in the back,
allowing airflow at key places to keep you cool and dry. There is a full CamLock™ zipper that
is easily operated to help in regulating body temperature. Pockets of fabric at the top and bottom of the zip protect the jersey materials from the zipper teeth. Flat seam stitches throughout
provide comfort and an aerodynamic advantage. In addition to reflective logos on the shoulders,
long strips of reflectivity are incorporated into the front, down the spine and on the back pocket
for safety. There are three rear pockets with a fourth zippered compartment. The Laser Jersey
also incorporates a new collar feature. At the back of the neck there is a small triangle of double
layer Moovix fabric that keeps the collar snug in a standing position, but comfortably expands on
the bike to prevent any tug in front or buckling around the neck. A similar treatment is utilized
at the back of the jersey waistband where double layer Moovix fabric expands and contracts
ensuring an aerodynamic fit in all positions. Liquid Elastic™ grippers at the cuffs and along the
front and sides of the waistband keep the jersey in place during activity. Sizes S-3XL
The Tenax jersey is anatomically constructed to better adapt to the needs of a cyclist. It is
designed and manufactured with fabrics chosen to help perspiration escape, leaving the skin
dry, thus making the cyclist feel more comfortable. TVX3 material has a remarkable ability to
move moisture away from the body, inhibiting the formation of odor causing bacteria. Mesh-like
inserts of Aerostat fabric wrap from under the arms around down to the lower back where
ventilation is needed most. The full CamLock™ zipper is easily operated to help in regulating
body temperature and is edged in bright fluo material. Fluo piping is added in multiple places on
the jersey for maximum visibility. Three rear cargo pockets provide ample storage. Light elastic

Laser Bib and Short
The Laser bib shorts are made of Moovix™ fabric, which is a slightly heavier version than that
used in the jersey. It has the same nylon/Lycra honeycomb structure to provide uniform elasticity in all directions. This high level of elasticity micro-massages the cyclist’s muscles, postponing
muscle fatigue. The special knit also promotes evaporation, preventing odors from forming. Both
garments are anatomically constructed for optimal fit on the bike in the riding position. Flat
stitched seams are used throughout for comfort and an aerodynamic silhouette. Silicon grippers
at the cuffs hold the bottoms in place on the legs during activity. Reflective logos are utilized
front and back for visibility and added safety. Laser bibs and shorts feature the T-Select O.F. ™
one piece insert. The bibs feature a wide mesh back panel between the shoulder straps for added

Bicycling magazine’s 2006 Editor’s Choice Award for Best Shorts Under $100. The Tenax bibs
and shorts remain virtually unchanged. They are made from Hercules™ nylon/Lycra, a Dupont
certified Power Lycra™, with flat seam stitching throughout. The bibs and shorts feature Giordana’s MC3-OF™ insert, a seamless one-piece insert that stretches with body movements and
returns to its original form when at rest. This ensures superior comfort on even the longest
rides. The leg openings have silicone-injected gripper elastic to prevent unwanted slippage and

Monsoon Rain Jacket
The Monsoon Rain Jacket is constructed of soft, semi-transparent Island™ material that offers
great protection. A one-way membrane allows perspiration to escape, while keeping rain out.
Construction details include full zippered front closure with protective flap and pull tab, tall collar with soft mesh lining, elastic gripper waist and cuffs to help seal out water, and a rear cargo

The ever-popular Silverline jersey gets a new look for 2009. The sleeves feature revamped designs across the shoulders. Performance and value have always defined the Silverline collection,
so we’ve also added some additional features this time around. The jersey is made of Michron™
fabric, which has super moisture moving properties to keep you dry. Mesh inserts under the
arms increase ventilation. A full zip with rubber pull-tab adds even more ventilation possibilities and makes it easier to get on and off. Three rear pockets with reflective piping around the
middle as well as on the outside of the cuffs ensure good visibility. Light elastic at cuffs and waist
keep the jersey from creeping. Sizes S-3XL
The sleeveless Silverline jersey mimics the short sleeve version in its new shoulder design. It
is made of Michron™ with mesh inserts in the underarm area to increase ventilation. Without
sleeves, this version is perfect for those really hot rides. A full zip makes it easy to regulate temperature. There are three rear pockets with reflective detail on either side of the middle for

Silverline Super-Fit Jersey
The Silverline collection includes an option in what we call Super-Fit™ sizing. This fit is a fuller
cut that is designed to be less conforming and generally fits two sizes bigger than then the same
size Pro-Fit™ jersey. The Super-Fit Jersey is made of Michron™ with side panels in a micromesh material to increase ventilation. The sleeve designs are the inverse of the Pro-Fit to differentiate the two styles. A full zip with pull-tab adds more ventilation possibilities and makes it
easy to get on and off. Three rear pockets incorporate reflective elements for added visibility.

Silverline Bib and Short
The Silverline bibs and shorts are anatomically shaped to conform to the movements of a cyclist
on a bike. Utilizing Moxie™, a Power Lycra™ certified material, they provide a high rate of
compression that can create a massaging effect, which delays the onset of muscle fatigue. Both
Silverline bibs and shorts have Giordana’s MC3-OF™ chamois, a seamless one-piece insert that
stretches with body movement and returns to its original form at rest. Black jacquard elastic at

Women’s FormaRed Carbon Jersey
The new FR-Carbon garments for 2009 represent the latest in the award-winning Forma collection. The Women’s FR-C Jersey is the best Giordana has ever developed, this garment sits at
the top of our women’s Alta Gamma garments. A new ultra-light fabric called Asteria is used for
the majority of the jersey, keeping the overall weight of the piece to a minimum. Incredibly soft,
the fabric is 14% spandex and utilizes a honeycomb knit, allowing omni-directional stretch for
optimal fit. Its properties of superior wicking and elasticity are woven into the fabric and will
not lesson over time, so the jersey will continue to perform. A second fabric, Ametista, lends the
Carbon element to the FR-C name. Ametista has threads of carbon woven through it, allowing
the material to be lighter, while maintaining its strength.The carbon reinforces for durability and
also limits the stretch in key areas. Carbon has the added benefit of reducing electrical interference around internal organs. Used on the cuffs and at the waist, Ametista effectively negates
the need for grippers, holding the jersey perfectly in place with a seamless feel. In these cases,
Ametista is backed by Antigua fabric on the inside. Antigua is perforated to create pockets of
air next to the skin and to allow airflow to pass through. The result is a light, breathable gripper
system that keeps the skin cool and dry underneath. A fourth fabric, MCK, forms the Y shape
of the back panel. MCK is chosen specifically for this location to limit the vertical stretch in
the back and stabilize the pockets, preventing sag when they’re loaded. The shape of the panel
eliminates puckers and creases by ergonomically following the body’s contours. A separate pattern piece wraps the collar to isolate the neck and head, preventing pulling and bunching in the
riding position.The back of the jersey is constructed of X-Fine, a fifth and final micro-mesh fabric
that allows maximum breathability. A full CamLock™ zip in front has flaps of fabric at the top
and bottom to protect the materials from the zipper teeth. Three back pockets are finished in
piping that corresponds to the accent flat stitching. There is a fourth zippered compartment for
valuables. Reflective elements on the center back pocket increase visibility.While this garment is
ideal for very hot weather, it can be worn over a base layer for adequate coverage in surprisingly

Introducing the next generation bib and short from the award winning Giordana Forma collection. The new FR-C garments are derived from the revolutionary FormaRed™ collection and
are now easily the most advanced women’s shorts on the market. The signature red color on
the inside of the cuffs and uppers is still there to identify this Alta Gamma collection. Also like
the FormaRed, the FR-C bottoms are constructed of HC-44 fabric. But in addition there’s a new
fabric that lends the carbon element to the garment. Ametista has threads of carbon woven into
it, which control the stretch of the fabric, reinforce the strength and add the benefit of repelling electronic interference from cell phone towers and power lines that can negatively affect
performance.This new fabric is utilized on the bib uppers, the waistband of the shorts and at the
leg hems. It is backed by another material called Antigua, which has perforations that create air
pockets against the skin and allow air to permeate. Newly shaped cut outs in the uppers eliminate excess fabric and ergonomically conform to the unique shape of the female form on the
bike. The uppers are lighter and more breathable as a result. No seams are used at all in the uppers, which lie completely flat and smooth against the body. Instead of connecting in the middle
where material can be hot and cumbersome on a ride, the bib straps have been contoured to
lie towards the outside of the chest comfortably out of the way. An iPocket™ is incorporated
into the bib at the back. Giordana believes that this location is superior to carrying a pda in a
jersey pocket. This position allows more freedom of movement and secures the device close
to the body for a more aerodynamic silhouette. Ametista continues down past the end of the
straps to wrap the internal organs around the waist, protecting organs from electrical interference. At the leg hems, the combination of the two fabrics enhances the benefit of traditional
grippers, keeping the garment in place seamlessly. The light, breathable gripper system keeps the
skin cool and dry underneath. A wide Ametista waist fits snugly on the shorts without any of the
pressure points or squeezing of traditional bands. The resulting silhouette is sleeker and more
aerodynamic on the bike. Other benefits of both the bibs and shorts include flat stitched seams
and reflective elements for visibility. A brand new OmniForm™ insert has been developed this

Alta Gel O.F.™
The ELITE GEL pad is the most advanced model in the OmniForm™
collection. It has been designed for
Giordana’s most prestigious apparel
lines. All components have been fully
researched to ensure the highest
quality. The thickness of the Elite Gel
varies and is designed to comfortably
contour the anatomy and provide protection where needed most. A special
synthetic gel is inserted in the middle
section to increase protection and
eliminate vibrations between the saddle and body.The external micro fiber
polyester fabric is applied to the insert
using Giordana’s unique OmniForm
technology, a special high-frequency
molding process that softens the
pad without having to use the more
traditional high-temperature molding techniques. The Elite Gel insert is
elastic and contours body movements
when riding, then returns to its original shape. The advanced technology
and details make the Elite Gel the
ideal pad for demanding athletes who
always require maximum quality.
The T SELECT insert uses the same
OmniForm™ technology as the Elite
Gel, two pieces sewn together with
the top section formed via the HF
(High Frequency) process. The T Select stretches to conform to the body
just as the Elite Gel does, but provides
slightly firmer support due to the fact
that the lower layer is a closed cell
foam pad rather than gel.The T Select
insert is elastic and contours body
movements when riding, yet returns
to its original shape afterward.
The MC3 pad is a one piece, seamless insert that is both lightweight
and flexible. Made of polyester micro
fiber, it is designed to adapt to the
contours of the body in motion, permitting natural movement. The MC3
is molded with Giordana’s high-frequency OmniForm™ technology that
eliminates the sharp edges and hard
areas caused by the high temperature
used in normal molding processes.
It is constructed with differentiated
thickness to provide more protection
where needed while guaranteeing
softness and comfort.
WMC3 is the women’s specific version of our MC3 insert. It is specially
designed for use in our women’s
shorts. The pad is a result of a study
focused on female body movements
when pedaling, taking into account a
woman’s different protection needs.
The WMC3 is also molded using
Giordana’s high-frequency OmniForm™ processing technique to
obtain a soft and extremely flexible
insert. The pad is a single, seamless
component with differentiated thickness to contour to the body and allow full freedom of movement. The
advent of the WMC3 makes shorts
of the highest quality, comfort and
performance available to women.
A completely new level in comfort
and protection for ladies, the Alta gel
OmniForm™ insert was designed
exclusively for Giordana’s top of the
line FR-Carbon™ shorts and bibs.
Aptly named, the chamois represents
the highest level of technology available in women’s specific chamois.The
streamlined silhouette is narrower
to better contour to the female form
on the bike. As a result, the Alta Gel
is considerably less bulky, yet retains
the protective qualities essential at
this level. It incorporates gel pockets where the sit bones contact the
saddle to cushion and reduce vibration at key points.The insert is elastic
and conforms to the body in motion,
but returns every time to its original
shape after activity.
MS-Mini™
The MS Mini is a one piece seamless
multi-sport insert that provides lightweight non-restrictive comfort. The
thin foam pad moves easily and won’t
become heavy if it’s worn in water,
making it ideal for use in Triathlon
garments. Because it’s invisible, the
MS Mini is a perfect insert for indoor
cycling garments as well. With its
smooth Lycra® inner surface, the MS
Mini is hardly noticeable as it works
to provide optimal comfort.
FABRICS
Ametista™
Ametista is 36% Power Lycra® constructed using a honeycomb knit that allows the fabric to
stretch in all directions instead of the traditional
four. In addition to superior elasticity, the material has excellent moisture moving and temperature regulation capabilities. Ametista has the
unique added benefit of carbon fibers woven
through the material, which produce a striped
appearance. The carbon element controls the
stretch in the fabric, enabling muscle isolation
to delay the onset of fatigue. It also reinforces
the material strength so that the fabric can be
lighter while still stronger. Lastly, the carbon
repels electronic interference from cell phone
towers and power lines that can interfere with
performance on the bike. 200 g/m2 weight.
Chrono
A nylon/Lyrca fabric found in bibs and shorts
on the sides and lower legs where support is
needed most. Chrono has less stretch and a
higher compression rate to increase support
and blood supply to working muscles.
Antigua™
This is the signature red backing used on the
revolutionary FR-Carbon garments. Antigua is
paired with Ametista on the inside against the
skin to act in place of grippers and on bib straps
make the fabric lighter in weight. It is a perforated material that creates pockets of air that promote airflow and keep the skin cool and dry.
HC44
A lightweight nylon and Lycra made with extremely fine thread used in Forma™ bib shorts
and knickers. HC refers to the fabric’s high
compression rate, while 44 designates the number of threads per centimeter in the knitting
process. Until now the highest thread count
for nylon/Lycra materials was 36 TPC. This ultra compact knit translates into performance
and comfort advantages in garments made with
HC44. It is lighter (180 gm), yet offers the performance enhancing higher compression rates
previously found only in heavier fabrics.With its
high TPC count the material is softer and more
supple than other nylon/Lycra fabrics. HC44’s
light weight also increases its wicking capability.
Asteria™
Our new top-of-the-line jersey fabric is incredibly light and soft. The material is 86% polyester
microfiber and utilizes a compact weave of 40
threads per centimeter, which provides microcompression and better coverage. This fine knit
incorporates 14% spandex for elasticity as and
has excellent wicking capabilities. 140 g/m2
weight.
Nylo™
Nylo does the work of other performance
fabrics, but with a softer hand. It is used in
the women’s Shape and Silverline collections
because of its silky smooth hand and vibrant
colors. The material provides ample stretch to
comfortably conform to a wide variety of body
shapes and sizes.
Aerostat™
A new fabric from Giordana for summer 2007,
Aerostat™ is a quick-drying mesh material that
allows for maximum breathability.Aerostat is utilized in the men’s RaceTech™ line as well as for
the women’s Fusion garments.
Dri-Release™
A microblend performance fabric with unparalleled moisture transferring qualities that direct
perspiration away from the skin quickly. Dri-Release™ dries four times faster than cotton, but
retains a soft feel for comfort. So durable that
garments made with Dri-release resist pilling
and won’t shrink or lose their shape. Treated
with Freshguard® odor control to neutralize
odor safely and keep you fresh. Used in base
layers.
Hercules
A circular knit nylon and Lycra fabric used for
shorts and bib shorts within the Tenax™ collection. Hercules is a strong 210 grams and is a
certified Lycra power fabric. Giordana garments
using Hercules are cut and sewn with the high
power of Hercules positioned perpendicular to
muscle groups. This provides optimum muscle
compression, which maximizes the performance
enhancing effects of Lycra power garments. InVent combines excellent resistance to wind
with very lightweight material. Its microfilament
yarns keep wind and water out, while remaining
permeable to perspiration.
Malaga
Malaga is a premium grade nylon/spandex blend
for shorts that is soft on the skin and supple
to wear. It has excellent elasticity for freedom
of movement without bunching or creasing.The
190 gm weight fabric used in Giordana® shorts
is very durable under tough use, but never feels
stiff like lesser spandex fabrics.
MCK™
Michron Carbon Knit is Giordana’s newest material for use in technical jerseys. It is knit with
a special micro-fiber yarn composed of a continuous filament of conductive material with an
active carbon and polyester base. MCK™ has
numerous beneficial characteristics. First and
foremost is an anti-static, dissipative effect that
protects against electrical interference.At times
the human body scarcely feels the effects of
these natural phenomena, while at other times
it is obvious. Both electrostatic discharge (ESD)
and discharge from electric over stress (EOS)
have considerable effect on wellbeing. In fact,
electrical charges that settle on the body cause
numerous complications that may be magnified
during exercise, such as overheating, negative
reactions on muscle contraction and inhibition
of blood flow. Due to its excellent anti-static
properties MCK improves electrical efficiency,
enhancing circulation and improved oxygen
supply to muscle cells. Its superior conductivity increases the evaporation rate, which speeds
the process of moving moisture away from the
skin enhancing the sensation of wellbeing. The
benefits of MCK are engineered into the yarn
of the fabric prior to knitting, not added as a
treatment.
Michron
The latest in fiber and knitting technologies have
yielded Giordana’s best performance jersey fabric ever. 100% polyester micro fiber yarns move
moisture off the skin more rapidly than ever before.The unique miniature honeycomb textured
knit allows airflow to keep you cool. Michron is
a performance fabric breakthrough.
MiniQuadro
Used in jerseys, MiniQuadro is a 100% polyester fabric that is knit such that moisture is
pulled through the garment from the inside out.
Soft to the touch, MiniQuadro is lightweight
and provides exceptional ventilation.
Moovix
A lightweight hollow micro-fiber material utilized for jerseys and shorts within the TenaxTM
collection. The unique honeycomb structure,
which incorporates nylon and Dupont Lycra,
enables Moovix to stretch equally in all directions, not just the two or four way stretch of
standard spandex materials. Its high stretch and
compression rates also produce a micro-massaging effect on the skin, delaying muscle fatigue. Due to its high opacity, Moovix effectively
protects against UVA and UVB rays. Its high
moisture moving capability further augments
the comfort that Moovix garments provide. An
antibacterial treatment inhibits the growth of
odor causing bacteria.
Moxie
Moxie fabric is treated to promote fast wicking and evaporation of moisture.This treatment
means that perspiration will not be trapped
next to the skin, so riders will feel cooler and
drier. Moxie nylon/spandex fabric is offered in
200gm weight, and is used in RaceTech™ bibs
and shorts. Fits like a nylon/spandex blend.
Supplex®
From DuPont, this nylon and Lycra-spandex
blend combines cottony-soft comfort with
the gentle support, superb fit and freedom of
movement that only spandex can provide. It is a
practical fusion of softness and stretch.
TVX3
A new material specifically designed for cycling
jerseys. Its name derives from the fact that it’s
the third generation of TVX and that it has
three distinct beneficial qualities. New TVX-3
has moisture-moving capability that is now enhanced via micro-ducts on the surface of the
fiber. This increases the rate of transfer to the
outer layer of the jersey where moisture can
evaporate quickly, keeping the wearer dryer.
TVX-3 also has a permanent antibacterial treatment that retards the growth of odor and stain
causing bacteria, thus extending the life of garments. The third component of new TVX-3 is
that has been redesigned to offer more protection from harmful ultraviolet rays.
X-Fine
A new micro-mesh utilized in the FR-Carbon
garments.
