Coastal Bend Day of Giving
Mark your calendar for: Tuesday, November 15, 2016!
Mission of Mercy is proud to be participating in the 8th Annual Coastal Bend
Day of Giving again this year! Because of your generous donations, we
raised $62,543.54 last year to assist our patients with free medical care and
assistance with prescription medications in the Coastal Bend! THANK YOU!!!
The Coastal Bend Day of Giving is a 24 hour, online opportunity to donate
to local charities at the forefront of assisting those most at risk in our
region which is administered by the Coastal Bend Community Foundation.
This community give-together begins at
midnight on November 15 with a minimum
gift of only $10. Each of the 40
plus participating nonprofits is eligible for a
match of approximately $16,250, enabling
them to raise at least $32,500 on that Day!
More information about Mission of Mercy’s
participation and where to donate on line
will be forthcoming prior to November 15,
2016 and can be found on our web page at

We have recently implemented FileMaker Pro which will help us manage all our
patient files and data in a secure cloud based location. The conversion from
paper and hard copy files to a computer will take some time as we include all
patients in all clinics.
Our volunteers and staff are also learning and using Practice Fusion which is a
software to manage our patient appointment and scheduling needs.

Volunteer Spotlight
The spotlight shines brightly on Robin Dolinger, RN. Robin is a registered nurse and has
been volunteering since September 2014. She provides patient care at every First United
Methodist Church clinic site.
Patients have stated that she is “sweet” and takes the initiative to provide resources to them
like how to obtain Medicare, Medicaid, and an identification card, .
Thank you Robin for your dedication and going the extra mile for our patients!
Mission of Mercy Medical Center
Mission of Mercy continues to provide the highest level of free health care and assistance with medications for uninsured and
underinsured patients in the Coastal Bend with our 40 foot mobile medical RV. The Mission of Mercy Medical Center is the next
step in providing continued quality health care and convenience to our patients.
Our sustainability has received a major measure of support from a local benefactor that has agreed to build a state-of-the-art
medical center to house Mission of Mercy. The building will allow more patients to be seen and additional services to be offered.
The facility will include a clinic on the first floor with 8 triage rooms, 8 examination rooms, a waiting room for up to 100
patients, 3 offices, 1 registration area, and more.
Mission of Mercy relies on the generosity of individual donors, corporations, community groups, churches, and
foundations to raise the revenue needed to provide our programs and services. We do not receive any state or federal
government funding. We strive to build strong collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships with public and
private agencies and community organizations who share our vision.
Commemorative opportunities are appropriate ways to honor beloved family members, friends, or others. The
opportunities listed below are available on a first pledge basis. The suggested minimum gift for a commemoration does
not necessarily reflect the actual cost of that item but it does suggest its significance in accomplishing the goals and
sustainability for the Mission of Mercy Medical Center. Pledge payments up to 4 years are available.
The second floor will include administrative offices, 1 conference room, 1 work room, 1 large classroom, 1 kitchen and more.
