La transportación (Transportation)

Learn how to talk about the airport, the plane,
the bus, the train, the suitcase, and many other
everyday words associated with travel and
transportation.
Verbos (Verbs)
*poner (to put), salir (to leave), hacer (to do,make, pack)
Learn how to conjugate these verbs in the present
tense, and how to use them to talk about travel
and preparing for travel.
Gramática - Telling Time
Learn how to tell time in Spanish, and how to talk
about time with respect to travel, like at what time
the train leaves, at what time you pack, etc.
Let’s Put it All Together
Throughout this 4 week unit, students learn how
to use the vocabulary, verbs, and grammar together
to communicate in Spanish. This section is the final
culmination of this process.

Using Your New Vocabulary
• Listen to these sentences as you read along. Pretend to do what you hear.
Or pause the audio after each sentence and quickly draw a picture to show
what you hear or say what it means.
(en = in, on)
Pon la ropa en la maleta.
(Put the clothes in the suitcase.)
Pon la identificación en el bolso.
(Put the identification in the purse.)
Pon el pasaporte en el bolso.
(Put the passport in the purse.)
Pon el boleto en el bolsillo.
(Put the ticket in the pocket.)

• Now listen to the vocabulary words you hear. Say them in English or lay out
your flashcards and point to each one as you hear it.
• Now listen to some words in English. See if you can say them in Spanish.
• Now listen to some words in Spanish. Write them in Spanish and then
check your spelling. See if you spelled them correctly.
