Presidents Letter
On January 25th, 2014 the first ever
Southern California Spanish Timbrado Association meeting took
place. Well, we finally did it! A Spanish Timbrado club right here in our
own backyard. What a great experience to be part of something so memorable.
On this day a group of friends gathered together, for one sole purpose.
This purpose, is to preserve, admire,
and appreciate, "The Spanish Timbrado" captivating song.
Through the education of our own
personal experiences and the experiences of others.
We will be creating an identity
amongst ourselves as the "Southern
California Spanish Timbrado Association". Which will also be known as
the "SOCAL TIMBRADO CLUB".
The "SOCAL TIMBRADO CLUB"
intensions are to create an organization that will increase peoples knowledge and awareness of "The Spanish
Timbrado" here in Southern California and through out. Although we are
not the first nor the last, our love for
"The Spanish Timbrado" can not be
surpassed.
Yes the "SOCAL TIMBRADO
CLUB" is intended for all those who
would like to participate in the
preservation of the Spanish Timbrado.
Whether it be through the excitement
of competition. The joy and satisfaction of breeding, or for there true purpose, the pleasure of listening to his
beautiful song.
Our intentions of preservation are to
be accomplished in a manner which
will promote and support all canary
clubs, locally and nationally. This of
,course, reinforcing the fact that there
is more than one way to do the right
thing and that we all can learn from
each other.
We believe this to be fundamental to
our association and apply it in our core
values. We encourage affiliation with
other local and national canary clubs.
There can never be to many resources
of good information.
Until the next time...

El Timbre
This has to be my favorite time of the year, with the
commencing of the breeding season and the miracle of
life well on its way. The excitement of baby birds is
here.
February’s meeting will be a two part meeting with the
first half being a discussion on how we breed our feathered treasures. The second part will be a show and tell
on how we prepare our moist food.
We will take advantage of our intimate numbers and
have a group discussion. This of course reinforcing
the fact that there are multiple ways of doing the right
thing and that we all can learn from each other.
We all love to talk about our birds and we will take this
opportunity to do so. Each member will have the opportunity to share on what they do to prepare for their
breeding season and what they do threw out the breeding season. We will each limit ourselves to 10minutes
to share, uninterrupted of course. After which time,
questions can be asked of.
The second part will be a nestling food show and tell.
We politely ask our members to bring a scale size portion of their ingredients. In which we will then mix at
the meeting. This will show other members, what it is
exactly that we are feeding our birds. This will be a
great way to share different recipes.
