TCA PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Good News First. The canteen caravan is in use at the Showgrounds. It was used for the first time
at the Southern Classic and I understand that the Junior Handlers’ Committee made about $500
on the day. There a couple of minor improvements to be made to get the final sign off from Council
but that will be sorted fairly soon.
Congratulations must go to Mesdames Dot Baverstock and Lyn Deitch on gaining their ‘Rally O’ and
Novice Obedience Judges’ Licenses respectively.
The ANKC has recognised lure coursing as a new discipline. In the short term, I have been
nominated for the ANKC Committee administering this discipline. In order to determine whether
there is sufficient interest within Tasmania to activate the discipline here, could anyone who is
interested please contact Kerry Smith in the office
An executive summary of decisions made at the recent ANKC Board Meeting is contained in this
issue of the gazette.
The most important issue seems to be the status of our ongoing relationship with FCI.
You may or may not be aware that in several Asian countries, there are rival kennel clubs some
recognised by FCI and others recognised by the American Kennel Club which of course is not a
member of FCI.
FCI has recently blacklisted several American judges who have officiated at shows run by Clubs
recognised by the AKC but not by FCI.
This could be a big issue for our Judges who regularly are invited to judge on the Asian Circuit.
ANKC will also have to determine whether it will recognise the blacklist if those judges are invited
to judge in Australia. It could also affect the import or export of dogs from or to FCI Countries.
ANKC is presently gathering statistics so that negotiations can be re-opened regarding Australia’s
ongoing relationship with FCI.
We also understand that the amendments proposed by the previous Government to the Animal
Welfare Act and which created such a stir will shortly be debated by Parliament. We have been
assured that the changes we negotiated have not been altered but we will be keeping a close watch
on this important issue.
You may also have seen comment in social media regarding new clause 23 in the ANKC's Judges
Code of Conduct. This clause as worded, was confusing and would have been difficult to
implement. The clause has now been rescinded and ANKC will consider whether it is possible to
reword the clause in such a way that its meaning is clear and possible to implement. It should
remembered that this Code of Conduct is only a guideline and individual States would have to
include it in their regulations to make it enforceable.

FROM THE OFFICE
Well 2014 has certainly gone by with a flash, its Christmas time already. On
behalf of Judy, Debbie and myself I wish all members and their families a
safe and happy Christmas and a prosperous 2015. Remember the office closes
Friday 19 December 2014 at 12.00 noon and does not reopen until 10.00 am
Monday 05 January 2015.
As only four nominations were received from David Sales, Elaine Job, Chris Lowe and Geoff Blyth for
the 2015 Election for TCA Inc Councillors an election will not be held and the four nominees will be
appointed to fill the vacancies.
Members are reminded that TCA Inc fees will increase by the September 2014 CPI (2.3%) from
01 January 2015; the new fees are published on page 60 of this Gazette.
PERFORMANCE DISCIPLINES NEWS
A meeting to discuss the proposed changes to the ANKC Ltd Agility Rule Review and the Agility Games
Rule Review will be held Saturday 10 January 2015 at the Reading Rooms, Ross commencing at 10.30
am. The amended rules will become effective 01 January 2016. Submissions from all Member Bodies
can be viewed on the ANKC Ltd website.
A meeting to discuss the proposed changes to the ANKC Ltd Obedience Rule Review and the ‘Rally
O’ Rule Review will be held Saturday 31 January 2015 at the MILE Centre, 68 High Street, Oatlands
commencing at 10.00 am and finishing by 4.00 pm. The amended rules will become effective 01
January 2016. Submissions from all Member Bodies can be viewed on the ANKC Ltd website.
Members attending should bring their own lunch and a copy of the rules.
Any member wishing to enrol in Judges Training Schemes for Agility, Dances with Dogs, Endurance,
Herding, Obedience, ‘Rally O’, RAFT, Field Trials, Tracking, Track and Search or Earthdog should lodge
an expression of interest with this office prior to 31 December 2014.
ANKC Ltd has recognized Lure Coursing, the rules for this new discipline are posted on the ANKC Ltd
website. Any member interested in assisting in developing this sport in Tasmania should advise this
office, in writing, prior to 31 December 2014. Provided there is sufficient interest a committee will
be formed to progress the sport.
The Working Party that is looking at options for a southern venue is interested to hear from any member
who may be aware of an area of land in the Brighton, lower Southern Midlands area that may be a
suitable site. Please advise the TCA Inc office of the details.
Members driving their cars in car park areas at TCA Inc sanctioned fixtures are requested to keep their
speed to a minimum in case a dog or small child happens to run across their path.
PLEASE NOTE: The Notice of the Annual General Meeting is on page 20 of this issue.
The TCA Inc offers a microchipping service throughout the state at a cost of $20
per dog/puppy (including lifetime registration on a nation-wide data base). Please
contact the office for further details.

SUMMARY OF THE
ANKC LTD ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & BOARD MEETING
HELD IN QUEENSLAND ON 18TH & 19TH OCTOBER, 2014
At the recent Annual General Meeting of the Australian National Kennel Council Limited held
on the Gold Coast:
1. Election of ANKC Ltd Vice President and Treasurer
• Ms Wendy Downing was elected as Vice President for a one year term from 18
October 2014; and
• Mr David Sales was re-elected unopposed as Treasurer for a one year term from 18
October 2014.
At the October 2014 ANKC Ltd Board meeting, Directors resolved/considered the following:
2. National Database
It was resolved that the agreement documents handing ownership of the database over to
ANKC Ltd were approved.
3. * Review of Policy Statements
It was resolved that the following amended Policy Statements be endorsed:
• Advantages of Pure Bred Dogs;
• Attack Training;
• Cruelty to Animals;
• Dangerous Dogs Control Legislation;
• Exporting of Dogs;
• Protection for Puppy Purchasers;
• Pure Bred Dog Rescue;
• Use of Dogs for Assistance and Service;
• Use of Dogs in Sporting and Competition Activities.
4. * Definition of Breeder Terms
It was resolved to adopt a listing defining the terms ‘backyard breeder’, ‘puppy farms’ and
‘puppy farmer’. These definitions will be available from the ANKC Ltd website.
5. ANKC Ltd Aggressive Dog Webpage - New
It was resolved that ANKC Ltd creates a new website page detailing the following
information in relation to currently suspended aggressive dogs:
• Member Body;
• Dogs Name;
• Breed;
• Registration Number;
• Suspension Start Date.
[Note: Member Bodies will advise ANKC Ltd to remove entries from this website page
once the suspension has been lifted.]
6. National Breed Councils
It was resolved that the National Breed Councils Liaison Working Party conducts a survey
to ascertain whether or not the established National Breed Councils should continue in
their present format.
7. Tail Descriptions – Pre 1987 Breed Standards
It was resolved that the wording ‘interim description’ be removed from the Pre 1987
breed standards.

8. Tenterfield Terrier Breed Standard
It was resolved to amend the Tenterfield Terrier breed standard in accordance with the
request of the National Tenterfield Terrier Council (Australia). Sections of the standard to
be changed are the Tail, Colour, Head & Skull and Eye sections of the standard.
9. Tenterfield Terrier Export Restriction
It was resolved to remove the current export restriction on Tenterfield Terriers at the
request of the National Tenterfield Terrier Council (Australia).
10.Intervariety Mating of Belgian Shepherds
It was resolved that from 1 January 2015 the inter-variety mating of Belgian Shepherd
Dogs shall only be conducted in accordance with FCI breeding requirements.
11.Entry Forms - Amendment
It was resolved that the current ANKC Ltd entry forms be amended with the inclusion of
a space for an e-mail address for the exhibitor. All existing stocks of the form are to be
exhausted before implementation of the amended form.
12.* ANKC Ltd Judging Application for “Person not a Resident of Australia” form
It was resolved for the Judging Application for “Person not a Resident of Australia” form to
be amended to include Clause 4.3 from Regulations Part 9.
13.* National Judges’ Code of Practice and Conduct - Amendment
It was resolved that the National Judges’ Code of Practice and Conduct be amended by
adding the following:
21 Judges must not smoke nor drink alcohol in the ring.
22 Judges shall not criticise by act or word the work of other judges, nor offer criticism of
any previously judged dog(s) to anyone including other officiating judges during the
course of the show. Except for authorised ringside mentoring.
23 If a judge is contracted to judge with or has judged with a panel of judges at one or
more Championship shows, whether in Australia or overseas, they must not enter or
handle any dog or bitch under any of those judges for a period of 28 days before or
after any such event.

It was resolved to adopt the amended ANKC Ltd Regulations Part 11 - Earth Dog Tests for
Small Terriers & Dachshunds. The updated regulations will be available from the ANKC
Ltd website.
16.* ANKC Ltd Regulations Part 15 – Junior Handler Competition & ANKC Ltd Junior
Handler Manual - Amendments
It was resolved to adopt the amended ANKC Ltd Regulations Part 15 – Junior Handler
Competition & ANKC Ltd Junior Handler Manual. The updated regulations will be
available from the ANKC Ltd website.
17.Rules for the Conduct of Field Trials for Spaniels & Retriever Trials
It was resolved to adopt the amended ANKC Ltd Rules for the Conduct of Field Trials for
Spaniels & Retriever Trials. The updated rules will be available from the ANKC Ltd website.

It was resolved to adopt the amended ANKC Ltd Rules for the Conduct of Retrieving Trials

19.National Judges’ Code of Practice for Field & Retrieving Trials - Amendment
It was resolved to adopt the amended ANKC Ltd Judges’ Code of Practice for Field &
Retrieving Trials. The updated Code of Practice will be available from the ANKC Ltd
website.
20.* National Lure Coursing Rules – New
It was resolved to adopt the new National Lure Coursing Rules to take effect from 1
January 2015. The rules will be available from the ANKC Ltd website.
21.* National Sledding Rules – New
It was resolved to adopt the new National Sledding Rules to take effect from 1 January
2015. The rules will be available from the ANKC Ltd website.

licence. To those exhibitors who gave up their time and brought their dogs out for my practical

athleticism.
Thank you to the many international and national judges as well as breed
specialists who have rewarded Ruby to her Grand Champion title making her the
first Grand Champion Rottweiler Bitch in Tasmania.
To cap off her Junior year Ruby was awarded Rottweiler National Rising Star in
2012.

Where an Owner/Exhibitor has a dog which has had a canine aggression report lodged the
Investigating Committee established under Reg 42.3 shall determine whether the
aggression is Category 1 or Category 2 as defined in Reg 41.3.1 and 41.3.2 below.
Category 1 aggression is an act of canine aggression with a dog making forceful contact
with another dog or person that leaves broken skin, swelling, bleeding obvious signs of hair
loss or slobber due to contact.
Category 2 aggression is an act of canine aggression with a dog that shows clear aggression
(non-contact) with another dog or person, whilst out of its crate or trailer.
Upon the Committee declaring a dog to be an aggressive dog the owner, exhibitor or
handler responsible for the dog shall immediately remove the dog from the grounds or
secure the dog in such a manner as not to pose any further threat for the remainder of the
fixture. The dog shall also be suspended from further involvement at the fixture in question
or at any other ANKC sanctioned fixtures, until such time as advised otherwise by the TCA
Inc Council in writing with the exception of attending a TCA Inc affiliated Obedience Club
for remedial training. Refer Regulation 44.1.
A dog deemed by an Investigating Committee as being aggressive (Category 1 or 2) shall
have to undertake a temperament test before being allowed to compete in any future
ANKC sanctioned fixture.
During the period of suspension from exhibition, TCA Inc recommends that the dog be
given remedial training. Training may be conducted at an Affiliated Obedience Club,
subject to the Club being advised of the circumstances surrounding the suspension from
exhibition. The Club has the right to reject the dog or to adjust the training regimen of the
dog as appropriate. A signed record of attendance at, and completion of, corrective
training is to be provided.
Where the Committee finds that a dog has been aggressive towards another dog (Category
1) the penalty shall be automatic suspension from all ANKC sanctioned fixtures other than
training for a period of 4 months. At the end of the suspension period the owner may apply
for assessment of the dog provided documentary evidence of retraining is provided with
the application. The suspension shall remain in force until the assessment is conducted.
Where the Committee finds that a dog has been aggressive towards another dog (Category
2) the penalty shall be automatic suspension from all ANKC sanctioned fixtures until a
temperament test is conducted at the convenience of the owners/ handlers and T.C.A. Inc.
Where the Committee finds that a dog has been aggressive towards a person (Category 1)
the penalty shall be automatic suspension from all ANKC sanctioned fixtures other than
training for a period of 6 (six) months. At the end of the suspension period the owner may
apply for assessment of the dog provided documentary evidence of re training is provided
with the application. The suspension shall remain in force until the assessment is
conducted.
Where the Committee finds that a dog has been aggressive towards a person (Category 2)
the penalty shall be automatic suspension from all ANKC sanctioned fixtures until a
temperament test is conducted at the convenience of the owners/ handlers and T.C.A. Inc.
Where a dog which has been suspended for aggression towards another dog fails a
temperament test or is suspended a second time then the dog will be suspended for eight
(8) months.
Where a dog which has been suspended for aggression towards another dog fails a second
temperament test or is suspended for a third time it shall be suspended for life.
Where a dog which has been suspended for aggression towards a person fails a
temperament test or is suspended a second time for aggression towards a person it shall
be suspended for life.
A dog that has been suspended for canine aggression or behaviour set out in 44.2, 44.3.1,
44.3.2, 44.3.3 may not be entered into any fixtures held under the auspices of the ANKC

or its member bodies until it has been assessed for aggressiveness by a panel of members,
constituted by TCA Inc. A fee as set out in the scale of charges must be paid to TCA Inc
prior to this assessment.
107 B The TCA Inc will not register the progeny of father/daughter, mother/son, brother/sister
matings on the Main register except where ANKC Ltd Regulations Part 6 Register and
Registrations Section 8, Breeding applies.
107C A TCA Inc registered breeder must not mate registered dogs of a different breed (except
where permitted under ANKC Regulations).
131B Where a German Shepherd Dog breed specialist is contracted to officiate at an All Breeds
Championship Show, double handling for that breed will be permitted at the discretion of
the officiating judge provided that the Specialist Ring is at least 50m from any other Judging
ring.

Where an Affiliate received advice from its bankers that a cheque for payment of entry fees
has been dishonoured, the Affiliate is to:1) Write to the Signatory on the cheque quoting the advice from the bank and requiring
payment of the outstanding amount plus any bank charges by money order or bank
cheque or cash within 14 days; and
2) Notify Dogs Tasmania’s Office if payment is not received within fourteen days.
3) Upon notification from an affiliate that moneys are still outstanding from the
signatory on the cheque Dogs Tasmania shall suspend the membership of the
signatory/exhibitor for a period of 30 days.

Stewards for other recognised discplines (where applicable) shall be persons listed on an
ANKC approved Member Body Stewards Panel. A contract shall be issued for each steward
officiating. Such contract shall be completed, signed and returned by the steward in the
stamped self- addressed envelope provided prior to the exhibition. An Affiliate is required
to advise the TCA Inc. of any steward who does not fulfil his/her contract.

for Tanika Dargis our Tassie girl and Australian representative at Crufts Junior Handler Final in March 2016.

“HALL OF FAME”
2015 Nominations
In the first 15 years of elections, the Australian National Kennel Council Ltd has received
nominations for 47 dogs and 20 people to be considered for induction into the Retrieving &
Field Trial Hall of Fame. From the nominations received 25 outstanding dogs and 15
exceptional people have been inducted.
The criteria for the two categories for selection are the following:
1. Outstanding Gundogs (must be retired from further competition or deceased):
(a) Their record as a winning dog i.e., CLUB - STAKE - DATE - JUDGE - PLACE and/or
(b Their production record.
(c) The eligibility for a dog should be based on its entire competitive career and previous
record as a producer, not merely for a particular win or for a heroic deed within the
field and retrieving trial sphere.
(d) Subject to the receipt of a formal application, dogs that have been awarded the title
of Grand Champion and have gained a total number of points equal to, or greater
than, twice the total number required for that award, shall automatically be inducted
into the Hall of Fame. Such applications must include full particulars and a brief
resume of the dog’s career.
(e) Subject to the receipt of a formal application, dogs winning at least two National
Championships in the same discipline shall automatically be inducted into the Hall of
Fame. Such applications must include full particulars and a brief resume of the dog’s
career.
2. Prominent Persons
Their record of a broad combination of accomplishments as:
(a) Club Official
(b) Judge
(c) Owner
(d) Handler
The distinction of nomination should be accorded to those who have made outstanding
contributions to the field or retrieving game. Nominees should be givers to the sport and not
takers.
Nominations are now being called for the fifteenth year of elections. In addition to applications
submitted in relation to Outstanding Gundogs 1(d) and 1(e), a maximum of two other
outstanding gundogs and two prominent persons may be elected each year.
Nomination:
1. Clubs or Members shall nominate DOGS and PEOPLE considered worthy of awards,
including full details of accomplishments within the above categories and with verification.
In the case of dogs, nominations should include the full name, title, owner and date of
birth.
(Please note it is a condition of nomination that the nominator/s provides accurate written
material supporting the nomination. In the absence of such accurate supporting material,
or should the supporting material later prove to be inaccurate in areas of significance, the
Selection Panel for the ANKC Ltd Retrieving & Field Trial Hall of Fame reserves the right
to reconsider its decision and if appropriate, delete the name of the Prominent Person or
Distinguished Dog from the list of inductees.)
2. Nominations shall close on the 31st March, 2015 at the respective Member Body offices
for forwarding to the ANKC Ltd.

PUPPY OF THE YEAR RULES
Hosted by The Tasmanian Kennel Club Inc
1. These rules, once approved, may not be changed unless with the written permission of
Council and such permission shall be sought in adequate time to allow the revised rules
to be published in the Tasmanian Canine Association’s Gazette for the information of
members.
2. The competition will be scheduled during the months of February and March in each year.
3. Invitations will be issued not later than twenty-one (21) days prior to the date of the
competition.
4. The Puppy of the Year Competition will be open to all dogs which have been entered in
classes 2 (dogs) and 2a (bitches) and 3 (dogs) and 3a (bitches) which have been awarded
a minor puppy or a puppy in group at an all breeds championship show or awarded a
minor puppy or a puppy in group at a specialist group club championship show,
conducted on or between 1st January and 31st December in any one year.
5. Dogs, which qualify, must be owned by a resident of Tasmania at the time of qualification
and such owner/s or lessee/s must be a current member of the Tasmanian Canine
Association Inc.
6. A puppy, which has been awarded Puppy of the Year, will be ineligible to compete in any
future Puppy of the Year competitions.
7. The responsibility of recording eligibility of dogs for competition shall rest with the affiliate
conducting such an event. Such eligibility will be confirmed, on request, from the records
of the Tasmanian Canine Association Inc.

CODE OF BEHAVIOUR AND ETHICS FOR RESPONSIBLE DOG
OWNERSHIP INCLUDING KEEPING, WELFARE BREEDING, SELLING
AND DISPOSING OF DOGS FOR MEMBERS OF THE
TASMANIAN CANINE ASSOCIATION INC.
SECTION 1 – CODE OF BEHAVIOUR
As a member of the TCA Inc I will:
• Conduct myself politely and with integrity at TCA Inc approved events.
• Conduct myself in a sportsmanlike manner at such events and in any related activities or communications
• Respect the reputations of other members, including judges, at TCA Inc approved events and in
dealings in wider forums, including chat lists, on the internet and in other communications.
SECTION 2 – COMPLIANCE WITH CODE OF ETHICS
Each member, upon signing an application for membership or renewal of membership of the T.C.A. Inc, and being
duly elected to general membership of the TCA Inc, shall, in addition to agreeing to be bound by the
Constitution, Rules and Regulations of the TCA Inc, be also bound by the TCA Inc’s Code of Ethics relating to
responsible dog ownership, including the keeping, welfare, breeding, selling and disposing of dogs by members to
the effect of the terms and conditions set out under Section 3 hereof.
SECTION 3 – CODE OF ETHICS AND UNDERTAKING
In consideration of the Tasmanian Canine Association Inc electing me to its general membership and approval
of that renewal from time to time, I pledge to the Tasmanian Canine Association Inc that: 1. I shall ensure that at all times all dogs under my control are properly housed, fed, watered, exercised and
receive proper Veterinary attention, if and when required.
2. I shall not allow any dogs under my care to roam at large and when away from home ensure that they are
kept fully leashed, or under effective control, at all times. All dogs must be able to stand up to full height and
be able to turn around with ease in any crate in which it is confined.
3. I shall breed only for the purpose of improving the quality and/or working ability of the breed in line with
the breed standard and not for the pet market or any other commercial purpose.
4. I shall not mate any bitch kept by me before it is 12 months of age (except where individual breeds have
a mating date that is more than 12 months of age) and I shall not breed any bitch kept by me causing it
to whelp more than twice in any 18 month period. I will not breed any bitch kept by me causing it to
whelp more than 6 times without prior written approval from the TCA Inc Council.
5. I shall not permit any of my pure bred dogs to be mated to a dog of a different breed, to a cross-bred dog,
or to an unregistered dog of the same breed.
6. I shall not sell or otherwise transfer from my care any puppy under 8 weeks of age, within Australia and 11
weeks of age overseas, the pup must have had its initial vaccination for distemper and parvo-virus.
7. I shall ensure that all persons acquiring dogs from me clearly understand their responsibility for the care and
welfare of the animal, that they have the time and facilities (i.e. adequate fences, sufficient room and proper
shelter etc) to perform their obligations.
8. I shall provide to all purchasers of dogs sold or placed by me, written details of all dietary and immunisation
requirements and/or an appropriate publication relating to such requirements and responsible dog
ownership.
9. I shall not sell any dog to commercial dog wholesalers, retail pet dealers, or directly or indirectly allow a dog
to be given as a prize or donation in a contest of any kind.
10. I shall not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed, nor falsely advertise, or mislead any
person regarding the performance of any dog.
11. I shall ensure when selling or transferring a dog to another person that documents as required by TCA Inc
Regulation 58, will be provided to the purchaser or transferee.
12. I undertake not to advertise puppies for sale as TCA Inc registered until the application for registration has
been lodged with the TCA Inc Office.
SECTION 4
Any member failing to observe any provisions of the Code of Ethics may be dealt with under the Regulations of
the TCA Inc.

SUMMARY OF THE TCA INC COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 2014

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES:
Southern Venue/Canteen
The EO advised the meeting that the upgrading of the food van is progressing.
RESOLVED: ‘If the van is to be finished in time clubs be offered to opportunity of using it over the period
of the 2014 Royal Hobart Show.’
S Eastley advised the meeting that the possibility of around 6 acres of land for sale at Pontville was being
investigated.
E Job suggested that Mrs M Jones may be interested in filling the vacancy on the Working Party.
RESOLVED: ‘Mrs Jones be approached to fill the vacancy.’
K Irwin advised the meeting that he was interested in joining the Working Party.
S Eastley stated that the role of the Working Party was to investigate all possibilities/aspects and report
back to Council with their findings and requested that a meeting not be held in the period 22 – 26
September 2014.
FINANCE:
A Financial Report for the period ending 31 August 2014 was circulated indicating a Net Loss for the
period of $77.66 compared to a loss of $1926.56 for the same period in 2013, a Year to Date Profit of
$47184.00 compared to $43778.49 the previous year and a Bank Register for July 2014 detailing deposits
of $23637.85 and withdrawals of $16452.62.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Reports were tabled from the Obedience and RAFT Committees.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
Executive Officer's Report
The EO’s Report advised that:
• Processing was at a 7 working day turnaround.
• There were 149 puppies registered in the period 14 August to 10 September 2014 compared to 112
for the same period last year, 1736 YTD compared to 1493 last year.
• There were 1011 members including Life Members as at 13 September 2013.
Legacy Program
K Irwin suggested the TCA Inc should consider setting up a legacy program and requested that the EO
obtain details of the Dogs Victoria Bequest Program and list the matter as an agenda item for the next
meeting of Council.
The meeting closed at 9.30 PM.

SHOW AND TRIAL REGULATIONS
All exhibitions conducted by the Tasmanian Canine Association Inc. and its affiliates are
conducted under the rules and regulations of the Association, a copy of which may be
inspected at the office of the secretary of the exhibition on the day of such exhibition.
The following rules/regulations apply to all exhibitions:
Financial Members:
A person 18 years of age and over and who is a resident of Tasmania may not exhibit,
handle, officiate in the judging ring or register an animal unless he/she is a current
financial member of the TCA Inc. A person seven years and under the age of eighteen
years who handles a dog in the judging ring is required to be a junior member of the
TCA Inc. or a member of an affiliated club. At least one parent or guardian is required
to be a financial member of the TCA Inc.
All dogs shall be entered for exhibition on the official cheque-book entry form and must
have all details required for publication legibly completed thereon and in ink.
Entry fees must accompany the entry form and should be paid by cheque or money
order (refer Australia Post regulation).
A stamped, self-addressed envelope must be included for the return of number
discs for championship shows, obedience and retrieving trials.
Substitute Judges:
The affiliate conducting an exhibition reserves the right to substitute judges if the
committee deems it necessary. Entry fees are not refundable - refer TCA Inc Regulation
227.
It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to have his/her exhibit/s available for judging in all
classes or events for which it is correctly entered and for the classes for which it
subsequently becomes eligible - TCA Inc Regulation 33.

3a Puppy (6 under 12 months), 4 and 4a Junior (9 under 18 months), 5 and 5a Intermediate
(18 under 36 months), 9 and 9a State Bred (6 months and over born in Tasmania), 10 and
10a Australian Bred (6 months and over born in Australia), 11 and 11a Open (6 months and
over and a breed recognised by the ANKC).
