Open Morning

Welcome to Headington School
Whether this is your first visit to Headington or you have daughters at the
School already, Open Morning is an ideal opportunity to find out more about
our school. You will see the School in action, chat with current students and
find the answers to your questions regarding admissions and life at Headington.
Open Morning runs from 10.00 am until 12.30 pm and we recommend you
allow around two hours for your visit. To ensure you do not miss any part of the
Open Morning programme, please aim to join us no later than 11.00 am.
We want this morning to be as useful and enjoyable as possible, so it may be
helpful for you to read through this guide before your visit.
Who’s Who
Mrs Caroline Jordan, Headmistress
Mrs Jordan will give a short talk followed
by a question and answer session in the
Theatre. If you have any questions about the
School’s vision, ethos, future direction or the
education that we offer at Headington, please
feel free to raise them during the question
and answer session.
Dr Jennette Jefferies, First Deputy Head (Academic)
Mrs Carole Knight, Second Deputy Head
Dr Jefferies and Mrs Knight are available throughout the morning.
Mr Ricki Smith, Deputy Head (Pastoral)
Mr Smith is responsible for pastoral care throughout the school and can help
with any pastoral questions you may have.
Heads of Year
Various Heads of Year will be available throughout the morning to help with any
questions regarding the practicalities of life in a particular year group.
Heads of Department
Various Heads of Department and other academic staff will be available
thoughout the morning to answer your questions.

Mrs Cathy Ellott, Pastoral Director of Sixth Form
Mrs Jane Partridge, Academic Director of Sixth Form
Mrs Karen Olliver, Head of Boarding
Mrs Bedford is responsible for the pastoral and academic care of girls in the U3
to U4, Ms Dyer for the L5 and U5 and Mrs Ellott and Mrs Partridge for the Sixth
Form. They can help with any questions you may have regarding their sections.
Mrs Olliver and her team of housemistresses can help with any questions
regarding full or weekly boarding.
Mr James Stephenson, Director of IB
Mr Stephenson will give a talk about the International Baccalaureate at 10.30 am
in W1.
