OUR FIRST PROJECT
Leduc, Alberta
We prepared the access road
and well site for Imperial
Oil’s historic discovery well.
In 1947, with the help of a $5,000 loan secured on nothing more than a handshake,
William Lede put his bulldozer to work for Imperial Oil’s historic first well in Leduc,
Alberta. With that, Leduc Construction was born.
Modest, steadfast, and clear in his convictions, Bill set out to shape his
young company with a vision of how business should be done — with integrity,
accountability, and with an insistence on quality and customer service.
And he did just that.
Today’s Ledcor is a larger and more diverse construction company than the one Bill
started. But under the leadership of our senior executive team, Bill’s values remain
a part of everything we do.
PROVEN.
RELIABLE.
SINCE 1947, THE LEDCOR
GROUP HAS BEEN BUILDING
WITH INTEGRITY.
That’s how, in our work on projects big and small across the USA and Canada,
we’ve earned our reputation honestly. For delivering quality. On time. On budget.
And for combining our unrelenting focus with an unmatched record for safety.
We have been doing it for over six decades — the right way. Always.
FINANCIALS YOU
CAN COUNT ON
THINK SAFETY,
WORK SAFELY
When you work with Ledcor, you’re
working alongside local teams
with local expertise, backed up by
the experience and security of an
international company with over
$3 billion in annual revenue.
As an employee-owned company, we
believe that nothing is as important as
the health and safety of our people. Our
award-winning safety programs go above
and beyond industry standards to make
sure that every employee and contractor
goes home safe and sound at the end
of the day.
Our years in the field have earned
us a very strong balance sheet and
significant bonding capacity, letting
you focus on your project rather than
your risk.
04
You can’t argue with results. Since 2005
we have been recognized by industry
associations and major clients with over
40 awards for excellence in health and
safety. Our projects regularly achieve
hundreds of thousands of work-hours
without a lost-time incident, with some
of our largest projects reaching over
one million.
05
RENEWABLE FUEL BY SEA
Vancouver, British Columbia
We turn logging waste
into biofuel for power
generation, delivering it
over land and water to
customers across BC.
It’s true that we’re a diversified company, offering a full range of services in dozens
of sectors. Yet it’s also true that we work in fully integrated teams, as One Ledcor.
For your project, that means working with industry experts who share knowledge,
experience, and innovations that cut across industries. This approach lets us see
every job from many angles. So we can do exactly what needs to be done. And
reinvent when we see that things can be done even better.
Better ways to build, better ways to design, better ways to move your project
forward, all thanks to one unique perspective.

MINERAL RIDGE MINE
Silver Peak, Nevada
For one of our latest projects
in Nevada, we have been
drilling, blasting, and
hauling for Scorpio Gold at
their rehabilitated mine site
since .
From our first day in business, we’ve always believed that projects are about more
than concrete and steel. They’re about people and the power of partnerships.
Partnerships with our employees, our communities, our contractors and clients.
Founded on the kind of trust that only comes from working side by side.
We seek out clients who want partners, not just suppliers.
It means that you value collaboration as much as we do. That you’re looking for a
relationship that will stand the test of time. And, like us, you want to build trust
wherever you do business — by working with integrity, by giving back to communities,
or by choosing smarter, more sustainable ways to get the job done right.
PARTNER.
PERFECT.
COLLABORATION WITH OUR
PARTNERS AND COMMUNITIES
IS THE LEDCOR WAY.
It’s the reason why many of our clients have been working with us for decades.
It’s why we approach every job like it is the start of something bigger.
SUSTAINABLE
INNOVATION
COLLABORATING
WITH COMMUNITIES
Industries change. Early on, we saw an
opportunity to support change in the
industries we serve.
Wherever we work, we look for ways to
build a positive legacy that will remain
long after the project has completed.
For more than a decade, we’ve been
refining our expertise in emissions
management, wastewater treatment,
renewables, reclamation, and green
building and retrofits. Since we serve
many sectors, we can bring sustainable
innovation to a huge variety of clients.
It isn’t just a matter of job creation.
We’re a diverse company driven
by local people from all over North
America, and we got that way by
forging lasting partnerships with
local communities. Of course, that
includes Native American and
Canadian Aboriginal communities,
who form a part of Ledcor as team
members, clients, suppliers, and
community stakeholders.
At the same time, we’ve been changing
the way we do things in our own
workplaces, and we’ve discovered along
the way that the more sustainable
choice and the more profitable choice
are often the same.
Yes, we’re doing it for the environment.
But we’re also doing it to stay
competitive and to strengthen our
reputation in a changing market — all
while helping our clients do the same.
08
By partnering with local and
indigenous-run companies and
organizations whenever possible, we
aim to create a spirit of collaboration
as well as real economic benefits.
Both of these are key to making our
projects succeed — not just for us, but
for whole communities.
09
In the 1940s, we lived and worked surrounded by Alberta’s booming oil fields.
Our roots there are still deep, but over the decades we’ve also put down new roots
in cities and regions all over the continent.
Everywhere Ledcor has grown, we’ve done it by bringing on people who are
respected in the local industry. Who live and work in the community. Who have a
stake in seeing that community thrive.
Our reputation for being a great employer follows us wherever we go, attracting
the best people and making us second to none when it comes to moving into new
and remote areas. We travel with our clients from high-rises in bustling cities, to
small town shopping centers, to subarctic diamond mines, where the only roads and
bridges are made of ice. Along the way, we blend proven team members with local
hires and suppliers who know the lay of the land like no one else.
LOCAL.
EXPERTS.
ALL OVER NORTH AMERICA,
OUR WORK IS DRIVEN BY PEOPLE
WHO LIVE AND BREATHE THE
LOCAL INDUSTRY.
Local talent. Local experience. Backed up by an international company that has
been doing quality work since 1947.

Giving back has been a part of our culture
since we all worked out of one shop in
central Alberta.
Today, through individual generosity and
corporate donation matching, we continue
to make major contributions to local
charities and community organizations
across the USA and Canada — about
$12 million in donations from 2007 to 2012.
But local giving is not just about
fundraising. We also partner with
dozens of industry, apprenticeship, and
scholarship programs that help people
develop skills and experience that will
last a lifetime. And we’re diversifying our
workforce in collaboration with indigenous
organizations and other groups that are
working to eliminate historical barriers to
entering the construction industry.
AWARD-WINNING
WORKPLACE CULTURE
Wherever we do business, we aim to be
the best employer in town. As a result, our
workplace culture has earned us national
and regional awards across North America.
Why is our culture so important to
us? Very simply, because it helps
us to attract the best people in our
industries — something that is central
to our success. Combined with ongoing
training and opportunities for career
growth, our culture gives our people all
the reason they need to take pride in
doing their best work every day.

FORESTRY
FORESTRY
With non-renewable forest licenses
adding up to 9 million cubic meters of
wood, we work hard to ensure that every
inch of every tree is put to good use.
That’s why we cover the entire supply
chain from start to finish: from selling
logs to the lumber and pulp industries,
to processing timber into cants, chips
and biofuel, to transporting products
to our customers.
TURNING WASTE INTO
RENEWABLE POWER
PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
BIOMASS
With our partners, we turn logging waste
and residuals into consumable products
like biofuel to generate electricity and
wood chips for kraft pulp.
LOG BROKERAGE
Ledcor’s forestry operations depend on
this team to buy, sell, and trade logs for a
variety of uses.
Every year, our biofuel contracts turn
200,000 metric tonnes (220,000
short tons) of roadside logging
debris and residual mill fiber into
renewable electricity and heat at
pulp mills and power plants in British
Columbia. We also supply 125,000
metric tonnes (138,000 short tons)
to makers of wood pellets, which are
ultimately used in place of coal in
European power plants.
MANUFACTURED CANTS
We cut low-value logs into custom-sized,
high-value cants, which are then sold and
transported to saw mills and a variety of
end-users in Canada and abroad.
CANT MILL
Chilliwack, British Columbia
While high-end logs from
our forest tenures are
earmarked and sold to
dimension lumber mills,
we turn the lower value
pulp logs into customsized cants, wood chips,
or biofuel.

GETTING OUR GOODS TO MARKET
With our own fleet of trucks and

POWER
POWER
COST-EFFECTIVE TRACK-SIDE
INNOVATION
Unreliable and under-sized overhead
power lines along rail rights-of-way
were causing large maintenance
costs and impacting train movement.
In 1997, we responded by introducing
a unique and reliable underground
power system that requires less
maintenance, adds needed power
capacity and costs less per mile
to install and operate. Since then,
we’ve designed and installed these
environmentally friendly, virtually
maintenance-free systems along
right-of-ways across Canada.
For more than 20 years we’ve been planning, designing, and building power systems —
including full turnkey solutions — for the energy, railway, and industrial sectors. As a
partner in several successful independent power projects, our unique perspective is
your competitive advantage. We know how to make sure that even the most innovative
energy projects are done right from start to finish.

OIL & GAS
Fort McMurray, Alberta
OIL AND GAS
We’ve been growing alongside North America’s oil and gas industry since the very
beginning of Ledcor. Along the way, in the most challenging and remote terrains on Earth,
we’ve built some of the continent’s marquee resource infrastructure projects — from
extraction, upgrading, refining, and storage, to pipeline networks and pipe fabrication.
The future of oil and gas is increasingly in unconventional and remote resources. This
doesn’t deter us. It encourages us. We’re already well positioned to meet the challenges
of the future, working in collaboration with some the world’s largest energy suppliers.
We work with many of our clients from day one, from project concept to completion, on
complex sites and against aggressive deadlines — all without compromising quality or
safety. Our direct-hired teams range from 150 to 1,000 people on a single project site,
with as many as five major projects in various stages of completion at one time.
GAS, CONVENTIONAL OIL, AND OIL SANDS
Our decades of experience in oil and gas has given us the capacity to offer complete turnkey
construction solutions — from in situ expansions to new, fully operational plants—backed up
by a commitment to quality and safety that’s unmatched in the industry.
Ledcor is a leader in constructing plants that integrate innovative extraction technologies —
including steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) and cyclical steam simulation (CSS) —
alongside traditional methods. That’s only part of the reason why we are the leading
contractor for Canada’s oil sands.
Our breadth and depth of experience allows us to bring unmatched benefits to our clients,
including cost-saving and technological innovations, leading safety programs, and tried-andtested construction methods that ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
Our successful and incident-free project deliveries are one of the reasons we have been
working with most of our oil and gas clients for a decade or more.
