Ledcor installed over 4,000 lineal metres of sheet piles for two emergency
dump ponds along the tailings distribution system in support of a 4
km above ground insulated modularized utilidor (also fabricated and
assembled by Ledcor).
Cabin Gas Plant Phase 2 - Piling, EnCana Corporation, Fort Nelson, BC
The scope of work included the supply, delivery, and installation of 4,100
steel driven pipe piles (SDPP). The SDPP diameters ranged from 168 mm
to 406 mm and had varying lengths from 9 m to 15 m. Ledcor completed
this project on budget and six weeks ahead of schedule.

At this live plant site, our team installed more than 1,800 drilled casts and steel-reinforced piles as part
of an overall expansion of the existing plant. Additional scope included belled shafts, which were used to
support increased weight. Working in a live plant, Ledcor constantly revised the Job Hazard Analysis to
ensure the safety of all crew, as well as successful completion of the project.
Surmont 2, Conoco Phillips, Fort McMurray, Alberta
Ledcor installed 4,300 steel driven piles of different
diameters and lengths over 9 months for portions of
the pipeline pipe rack support, well pad modules, and
building and equipment foundations over a 7 km area.
