Apr 30 UPCOMING EVENTS Board Position Opening Due to circumstances the 2010 – 11 SSC Board has an opening for the Treasurer position. The Treasurer’s duties include: preparation and maintenance of all financial records for the club, payment and mailing of all monthly club bills, monitoring any club financial investments, preparation of a monthly financial report, monitoring club expenditures on a monthly basis, transferring funds from PayPal account to bank account and managing banking relationships. PICTURE PARTY AND CONTEST ~ Tuesday, April 6 All SSC members who went on a trip in the 2009/10 membership year should plan to attend this great party where you can share photos from your trip(s) with your friends! Doc Holliday’s will cater the party from their new Italian menu, and our western trip tour company and Picture Party Sponsor Alphorn Tours will treat us to a yummy cake from local favorite Dingeldein’s Bakery. New this year, enter your favorite 2009/2010 trip photos in our newsletter photo contest – the winner will receive a $50 cash prize and the honor of the winning photo at the top of our monthly email newsletters, including credits. Photos must support cropping to 3.4:1 (approximately 3.4 times wider than it’s tall). HERSHEY BEARS HOCKEY Sunday, March 21 Join us as the Hershey Bears Hockey battle the Adirondack Phantoms on Sunday, March 21. We will meet at the Overtime Sports Bar and Grille (formerly Shakey's Bar), 312 Mill St., Hershey, between 2-3 pm. After the pre-game gathering, we will board the Overtime’s express shuttle for a roundtrip ride to the Giant Center. Cost is $20 per person; deadline to purchase tickets is March 1. SSC SPRING BANQUET ~ Saturday, April 24 Come to SSC’s Spring Banquet on Saturday, April 24 at the Navy SPCC Officer’s Club in Mechanicsburg. Happy hour (cash bar) will begin at 6 pm, dinner will start at 7 pm. You have three choices for plated dinners: New York strip steak, broiled salmon w/shrimp dill sauce, or vegetarian lasagna. Following the award presentations and announcement of SSC’s 2010-2011 trips, BT and the Cruisers will play from 811pm for our listening and dancing pleasure. To meet Homeland Security requirements, an application will be required along with your payment (you can find this application form on our website on the SSC Forms page). Mail your completed application and checks for $36 per person made out to “SSC” to Carolyn Eash, 288 Stumpstown Rd., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
