Awards, movie credits, television
appearances and Broadway performances. They have rocked arenas,
helmed world-class symphonies
and toured on almost every continent.
Formed in 2009, the Grits and
Glamour tour is a “together is
better” event. The show is only
loosely scripted. Good-natured
ribbing and off-the-cuff remarks
are just part of the fun. They add
tight harmonies to each other’s
material, classic songs like Tillis’
“Maybe It Was Memphis” and
“Mi Vida Loca,” and Morgan’s
“Something In Red” and “Except
for Monday,” as well as new and
original music from more recent
recordings.

Tipping

ask us occassionally what the appropriate
tip to leave might be for quality service for
different casino employees. Obviously, many
things factor into this, so please note that the
information below is just a guideline, and

HOROSCOPE
You go from back room to center stage, Scorpio
Editor’s Note: Horoscopes are meant for entertainment purposes
only and are for the time period October 27 - November 9, 2016.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) — Several
planets have re-entered your region of the
sky. This is similar to being propelled from
a place in the back room to center stage, at least so
far as the world beyond your window is concerned.
This period’s developments are the closest you’ll get
to global domination and to everybody looking at the
universe in the same way as you.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) — This
period promises to be an improvement on
those that have preceded it. The arrival of
Venus in your sign sees your relationships running
more smoothly than you have come to expect lately.
A touch of kindness goes a long way.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) — Mars and
Pluto remain in your sign and separate very
slowly. This puts a lot of energy at your
disposal. Tackling big projects, working long hours,
playing competitive and contact sports, or emerging
triumphant in the face of insuperable odds all
match the symbolism of this planetary combination.
Relaxing too much will leave you angry and resentful.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) — You’re
painted as a revolutionary. Part of your
paradox is that you’re also a member of the
fixed quadruplicity, causing you to value opinions
formed as a consequence of your own direct
experience, while being slow to change your mind.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 19) —
Complicated skies put relationships
in the spotlight with an outcome that
varies from beneficial to awkward, depending on
exact circumstances. But overall, you’re right to
continue addressing issues from the past.
Aries (March 20-April 19) — You have
a reputation for acting on the spur of
the moment and sometimes this can get
you into trouble. Actions that on a good day
prove courageous and opportune may appear
impulsive, rash and clumsy to those around you
on a worse one. Think before acting.
28 JACKPOT! MAGAZINE • October 27 - November 9, 2016
Taurus (April 20-May 20) — You’ve plenty
on your plate with work commitments and
other obligations you have gradually been
shouldering. Remember, you’ll be more use to others
if you’re fulfilled. Eating and sleeping aren’t enough
if you neglect your fitness or eliminate leisure time.
Gemini (May 21-June 20) — Lately,
relationships have seemed hard work.
Stronger connections have weathered the
storm, but have entailed greater responsibility and
often, a more sober outlook than you would have
liked. Your love life and closest contacts are about to
prove that your efforts have been worth it.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) — You have
made some brave decisions about which
course to pursue and have endeavored to
establish a unique niche in terms of your place in
the world and the means by which you tackle the
business of your life. This has displeased a number of
people who were previously close to you.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22) — The past 12
months have been like mountain track. If
your route had been more clearly defined
your passage would have been easier, but you’ve
needed to ponder your trajectory almost every step
of the way. It will build character.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — The planets
have you reaching out beyond whatever
matters to you personally to revive your
interest in everything others have to say. Even so,
you don’t need to look far from home to come up
with an array of answers that have otherwise eluded
you. You find homespun wisdom you respect.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) — You’ve an entire
year of growth and development ahead of
you within which your expectations are the
primary limiting factor. Your progress will be tied to
what you believe you can accomplish. Ask whether
you have your priorities straight.
