Five bloody palms up" Horror-Punks.com "Check out this amazing track 'Danzig' by Thirteen Shots. Because I love Danzig and want to say thank you too" Michale Graves "These guys are all killer and have no filler. If you are looking for a band with a "full on, kick you in the ass sound", check them out. I highly recommend them" Super Smash Media "I don’t think that Thirteen Shots do themselves justice on paper, as quite frankly their music is more complex than they let on in their bio. Taking different genres and combining them is always dangerous, yet these guys seem to have managed it with aplomb throughout this album. Sure, there’s moments here where you’ll question the lyrics or wonder what on earth you’re hearing, but throughout there’s almost a sense of reassurance, reminding you that what you’re listening to is designed to be fun, designed for you To enjoy and over all, designed to celebrate the varied influences behind it." Loud-Stuff.com “Swagger, sweat, and sweet licks all blend into a cock rock winner on Thirteen Shots’ new album Tales That Start with a Whisper,These Brits are kicking ass across the pond. I hope they can get over to the States sometime. ” Outlaw Magazine “'Tales The Start With A Whisper' is a must-buy for any serious horror-punk fan, any metal head with a love for horror, anyone really who is looking for a good time. Lyrically fantastic, musically flawless, and vocally deranged, this is one record you will want to take with you to the grave. In an age where horror punk has become rather stale and predictable, the Thirteen Shots have injected new life into this Frankenstein Monster of a genre” Evermore Evil's morgue-of-intrigue “Tales That Start With a Whisper” is an outstanding album from a great new band. This is what music should be about, mixing all of your influences and loved genres to see what will come out on the other side. All I can say is give these guys a listen and I guarantee that you will hear something that you like and won’t be sorry. Now if you will excuse me I need to go ‘dig’ up a dance partner, move the Furniture and blast the newest Thirteen Shots!” Radiobilly FM “Tales That Start With A Whisper is filled with dark lyrical content occasionally broken up with some sick, twisted humour, and amazingly big guitar riffs, choppy fills and the kind of bass work that I'd happily give my left testicle to play. I really dig how these kids pull off the Horror Rock theme while still keeping the tempo upbeat and fresh” Po Dunk Radio “After the success of their excellent début album Vaudeville just over a year ago, UK horror punk n rollers Thirteen Shots teased the appetite further with Songs like Zombies From The USSR , a track which made up one of their contributions to a split release with fellow raisers of the dead, Trioxin Cherry and Raizing Hell. Little did it and fellow Song Get In My Crypt fully reveal was the step forward and extra adventure the Birmingham quartet had explored for their outstanding new album Tales That Start With A Whisper . Employing even richer flames of numerous genres and decades, the nine track release is a riot to ignite the senses and passions, a seemingly uncomplicated yet fully involved feast of dirty decaying invigorating rock n roll” Ringmaster Review
