What is Splash? Frog Street’s early childhood educational conference is an exceptional professional learning experience for all educators of young children. Who should attend Splash? The Splash educational conference is beneficial for early childhood teachers, administrators, and directors. Sessions are designed with a specific focus for teachers who work in areas of Infant, Toddler, Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade, Special Education, ESL, Bilingual, ELL, Early Head Start, Head Start, Childcare, Private Preschool, or Home School settings. What are the Frog Street Pre-Conference Training Sessions? These 4-hour sessions are designed for schools and districts who have purchased the Frog Street Pre-K, Toddler, or Infant Curriculum. This in-depth training will provide an overview of the curriculum and instruction for using the program effectively in the classroom. You may select either a Pre-K, Toddler or Infant curriculum training session. L4 Language Development 0-3 months I Know My Name NEW! Infant Curriculum What is a Make & Take Session? Babies are typically able to recognize the sound of their name within a couple of months after birth. They will turn their head toward and/or make eye contact with the person saying their name. Objectives: C.1.b. Participants rotate through three exciting presentations during this 4-hour session and receive all the materials and tools they need to create take-home activities to use in their classroom! Training Session! C.1.b. Uses hand motions and body movements in response to familiar words and phrases Responds to different tones of voice Say babies’ names often. Sing their names. Say their names in a high voice or a low voice. Play with the sound of each child’s name. Some names are easy to use in rhymes, chants or songs.
