Junior High Schedule
• 7 Periods
• Students go to each class
every school day.
• Each class is less than an
hour.
Amador High School Schedule
• A/B Block Schedule
• 8 Periods
• Students go to 4 classes
each day. (Periods 1, 3, 5, 7
one day and Periods 2, 4, 6,
8 the next day).
• Each class is about an hour
and a half.

Program, you will indicate which elective to postpone.
Your student can also focus on one 4 Year Elective Program and take
select elective classes in other areas of interest in future years.
An Overview of the Pre-registration
Process
8th grade teachers make
recommendation for ELA and
math placement based on
course criteria
Parents/students attend 8th
grade parent night to learn
more about Amador’s
educational program
Counselors visit junior highs
next Wednesday, Thursday or
Friday and assist 8th grade
students with completing the
course request form
Counselors finalize student
schedules throughout the
summer.
Students return course
request forms to junior high
office by January 29th.
Students take course request
form home for parent review
9th grade students pick up
schedule during Freshmen
Orientation on Friday, August
5th.
Parents contact junior high teacher if they
have questions/concerns about the
recommendation. Contact high school
counselors for any other questions.
All Intradistrict Transfer Requests must be submitted by March 1st, 2016!

Course Selection Sheet
• Please make a note of the English and Math class that seem
most appropriate for your child.
• Your child’s science recommendation will be based on the
math recommendation.
• Compare with the recommendation that will be given by
the junior high teacher later this week.
• Contact your child’s junior high teacher to discuss any
concerns about their recommendation.
Please note: Recommendations are subject to change based
on your child’s 8th Grade Spring academic performance.
