prayer line at 617-442-3938 (located at
Mission Church, 1545 Tremont Street,
Boston). Healing service is the last
Sunday of the month at 2:00 PM.
Jesus overcame the temptations to wealth, power
and esteem. As we begin Lent, may
we open our hearts to the grace of
prayer, fasting and almsgiving. This
month, through your gifts, the Society
of Saint Vincent de Paul was able to
assist families by providing food and
helping with rent and utility bills. God bless you!
Adult Education for the New Evangelization will
resume, with a new seminar topic on February 25
at 7:00 PM! This Spring and Summer we will
continue Father Robert Barron's Catholicism series,
using his study course specifically on the New
Evangelization and the call of the Church in the
modern world.
This topic will consist of six
meetings, on the fourth Wednesdays of the
month at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center, finishing
in July. You need not come to every meeting to
reap the benefits of fruitful discussion and friendly
faces. Join us when you can! Light discussion and
refreshments will follow the 90 minute program.
For more information, please email Tom Harvey
[email protected], or visit the parish Outreach
blog,SaintAgnesParish.blogspot.com.
Saint Agnes will participate in the Lenten 40 Days
for Life campaign in Boston! 40
Days for Life is a community-based
campaign that draws attention to
the evils of abortion through the use
of a three-point program: Prayer
and fasting, Prayer vigil and
Community outreach.
40 Days for Life takes a determined, peaceful
approach to showing local communities the
consequences
of
abortion
in
their
own
neighborhoods, for their own friends and families.
Saint Agnes will be leading a rosary hour each
Sunday afternoon from 2-3 pm at Planned
Parenthood in Boston during the campaign. For
carpooling, we will meet at 1:30 pm in the public
parking lot adjacent to the Church. If you have
questions, e-mail [email protected].
