All are invited to attend. Mon Yough Catholic School is the Catholic Elementary School for our Saint Mark Parish. This school is a consortium of eight parishes within Vicariate 2, District 4, and offers an already outstanding faith-based, academically excellent program for our children. The Elementary School offers Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, as well as PreSchool for 3 & 4 year-olds (both full and half-day). Registration for the 2012-13 School Year is underway. First Communion Pictures First Holy Communion pictures are in and can be picked up at the Administration Center during regular business hours. EIGHTEENTH SUNDAY JUNEIN2,ORDINARY 2002 TIME Adult Faith Enrichment RCIA stands for Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. It is the way people who are interesting in becoming a Catholic learn about our faith. It includes lessons and discussion, experiences such as a church tour, and ceremonies that celebrate the different steps in the journey of faith. It includes participants from eight churches, and team members from those same churches who attend each week. The RCIA will begin this year on Sunday, September 9, 11:00am at Saint Robert Bellarmine Church. For more information, call the Administration Center or Sister Joel Campbell at 412-754-2092. Baptism Instruction Class The next Baptism Class for parents will be held on Tuesday, September 4 at Queen of the Rosary Parish in Glassport. Please call 412-672-7209 to register. This class is required prior to Baptism. AUGUST 5, 2012 Festival Tear-Down We are looking for strong men and women to help with Festival tear-down on Sunday, August 5. That includes breaking down the tents, tables and booths along with clean-up of the church grounds. Golden Wedding Celebration The Diocese of Pittsburgh is planning its annual Golden Wedding Celebration for the couples who have been married for 50 years. This year’s celebration will take place on Sunday, October 21, 2012 with a Mass at 2:30pm (note time change) at Saint Paul Cathedral. Bishop David Zubik will be the celebrant. A reception will follow in the lower hall at the Cathedral. If you are celebrating your 50th Wedding Anniversary any time during 2012 and would like to attend this event, please call the Administration Center at 412-678-6275 on or before Sunday, August 5, 2012. Invitations will be sent out after responses have been received. Diocesan Choir Auditions Auditions for the 2012-2013 Diocesan Choir season will soon be held. The Choir, under the direction of Father Jim Chepponis, Music Director for the Diocese of Pittsburgh, sings for the major Diocesan events at Saint Paul’s Cathedral throughout the year. Currently, there are openings in the soprano, alto, tenor and bass sections. In addition to being good singers, potential members must be capable sight-readers due to a limited rehearsal schedule, and at least 18 years of age. Rehearsals are held at Saint John Capistran Church in Upper St. Clair. Audition times may be scheduled by calling Doris Anne in the Diocesan Music Office at 412-456-3042 before August 16. Help Needed Help is needed for an elderly female in Liberty Boro from Monday through Friday, 8:00-11:00am. Assistance with bathing, medications, meals and companionship.
