Johnson's Appraisal
Sets Assessed Value
Al $8,573,770
City Assessor Axel C. Johnson
reported to the City Council
Monday night on a recent appraisal survey made by two outside real estate appraisers. He
stated they came up with a total
cash value of $8,573,770 for all
the property in the city. He also
stated he based his city assessments on 45 per cent of this
figure.
The state figures made on the
basis of 50 per cent of the cash
value would be more than 12
million, which is about 3% million
higher than his figures. This

The nicest things happen
to systematic savers
Ever notice how it is with some families? They
always seem to have the money to go off on the
most exciting vacation trips, buy and furnish the
nicest homes, give their children the best educations.
Often the answer is not to be found in the size of
their income, but in what they DO with it!
By systematically saving part of it, they manage to
have ''what it takes'' to enjoy the best things of
life. See us now about opening a savings account,
