1 Welcome Day
_ Travel to Tuscany and reach your spa farm in the countryside of
Chianciano in the Province of Siena. Guests can use the spa area of the farm, small paradise where
you can forget the stress and indulge in peace of mind. Surrounded by centuries-old vineyards,
magnificent views of hills and lush olive groves, the farmhouse offers rooms and apartments, a
large vineyard and an organic vegetable garden, as well as a complete relaxation area and a
restaurant serving strictly local products.
_ dinner in the farmhouse. At your disposal a setting
offering typical Tuscan dishes with local ingredients
and a preference for the products of the season. Our
packages include the local wine produced by the farm.
The qualified staff will direct you to the most
appetizing dishes paired with wines, extra virgin olive
oil and honey, all quality products made by the
company and proposed to you.
2 San Gimignano & Vernaccia Day _ After breakfast at your accommodation, we will
take you for a day in the city of San Gimignano with its towers, its food and wine culture. Based on
the number of participants we have a minivan or a minibus air-conditioned and equipped, with a
professional driver. We'll get you the time you want with the possibility of customizing the duration
and the itinerary at your choice. -distance 120 kmFrom the curves of the highway, San Gimignano is announced by its famous towers. It is a real
jewel, so valuable that UNESCO has declared a "World Heritage Site". Walking through the historic
center means diving in the Middle Ages, in an evocative glimpse of how the city had to be more
than seven hundred years ago. The village is enclosed by the walls of the thirteenth century, crossed
by two main roads that intersect in two beautiful squares. Towers and tower houses, which belonged
to the old aristocracy of merchants and financiers, look impressive on the road and rise above the
other buildings. Some are perfectly preserved, others were cut off when a family prevailed over the
other.
Vernaccia di San Gimignano is a white wine already known at the time of Dante, now known all
over the world. It is controlled and guaranteed by the brand name of Controlled and Guaranteed
Origin (DOCG) and was the first Italian wine to receive the mark of Controlled Denomination of
Origin (DOC) in 1966.
_ We'll take you first of all to an organic farm with bio-architecture in beautiful countryside just a
few kilometers from San Gimignano, for a visit to the farm and a lunch with healthy and genuine
products of the company, following the original recipes of Tuscany. A visit to the cellars is made
instead with an extra cost.
_ After lunch we will take you to San Gimignano, a
compulsory stop during a tour of Tuscany and one of
the most famous and picturesque medieval Italian
villages. The city is waiting to be discovered with the
squares, the streets and views of the beautiful
countryside, where you can take pictures to review at
home.
_ h. 6,00 pm. Departure and return the farm in the
countryside of Chianciano, for the typical Tuscan
dinner with local dishes prepared with fresh, seasonal
ingredients.
3 Chianti & Siena Day
_ After breakfast at your accommodation, we will take you for a
day in Chianti, land of ancient traditions, civilized in ancient times, first by the Etruscans and then
by the Romans, and a free visit of Siena, a treasure trove of historical, artistic, religious and
cultural riches all to be discovered. Based on the number of participants we have a minivan or a
minibus air-conditioned and equipped, with a professional driver. We'll get you the time you want
with the possibility of customizing the duration and the itinerary at your choice. -distance 85 kmChianti, the territory that for centuries produces Chianti Classico wine, is a part of Tuscany that is
bordered on the north from Florence, on the east by the Chianti Mountains, south of Siena and on
the west by the Pesa and Elsa valleys. The Black Rooster (Gallo Nero) is the historic symbol of
Chianti, adopted as a trademark for wine from the Chianti Classico Consortium that brings together
producers.
Siena is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy: intact masterpiece of the Middle Ages, included in
the "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO. Famous for its main square Piazza del Campo, where twice
a year we run the "Palio", the town maintains the authenticity element that characterizes the people
of his province.
_ We'll get you in the morning to visit a farm of the
fifteenth century in the center of Chianti. To welcome
you there will be the president of TERRA NOSTRA,
an association that is owned by Coldiretti
Organization (farmers) to make a description of the
laws of the farmhouses in Tuscany, to protect,
monitor and promote rural tourism in respect of the
land. The president is the owner of the famr you will
visit, which produces Chianti Classico wine and extra
virgin olive oil for many generations.
_ For lunch we will take you to Siena for a meal... in
medieval style! The restaurant is rustic Tuscan with
references to the ancient culture and the dishes
offered are those of the original tradition. After lunch
we will rpopose you a free visit of Siena, a city rich
in history and art where every church, building or
alley has something to tell and where the most
famous monuments coexist with the corners outside
of the usual tourist itineraries.
_ h. 6,00 pm. Departure and return the farm in the countryside of Chianciano, for the typical Tuscan
dinner with local dishes prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
4 Orcia Valley Day _
After breakfast at your accommodation, we will take you for a day in
Orcia Valley with rolling hills and green valleys crossed by the river Orcia and the ancient Via
Cassia from Rome. You will visit an original Tuscan house in the countryside whose owners still
dealing with hospitality, but especially they work the land that hosts them for generations. In the
afternoon you will visit the beautiful towns of Pienza and Montepulciano. -distance 16 kmOrcia Valley is a mixture of nature and picturesque villages of the Tuscan countryside. The valley
is an important natural, cultural and artistic parc from July 2nd, 2004 and was declared a world
heritage site by UNESCO, for the excellent state of preservation of the landscape, as well as
"produced by an intelligent work of human settlement, which has had a significant influence on
many artists of the Renaissance".
Pienza is a rare example of Renaissance town planning to completion. Defined from time to time
the 'ideal city' , the 'utopian city' , it is now certainly one of the ways through which building in the
Renaissance it was attempted to create a model of life and government 'ideal' on the ground, making
an 'idea of a city that was able to give concrete answers to the desire of civil society peaceful and
industrious men'. Much appreciated by connoisseurs the pecorino cheese that is produced in Pienza,
a quality product available in many varieties.
Montepulciano is a medieval town of rare beauty that is definitely worth a visit: a unique village
with elegant Renaissance palaces, ancient churches, beautiful squares and small hidden corners. The
city is known worldwide for its wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, the most ancient known or
one of those wines which in the past were tied to their land and still identify them.
_ We'll get you in the morning to visit a farm for generations living in an old Tuscan farmhouse, in
the heart of the Orcia Velly. The owners work the land with respect for the seasons and crops or
offer only local products with a predilection for the ingredients of the season. There are many
specialties that will be offered for lunch, you can taste the typical Tuscan cuisine with the basic
ingredients that are exported everything in the world.
_ After lunch we will take you to Pienza, and then to Montepulciano for a free tour of the city with
the possibility of tasting local produce, above all cheese and wine.
_ h. 7,00 pm. Departure and return the farm in the countryside of Chianciano, for the typical Tuscan
dinner with local dishes prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
5 Departure Day _
After breakfast at your accommodation we will be at your disposal for
the departure from Tuscany.
