GUIDED ARTWALK STOPS FIRST FRIDAY EVENT Follow the ArtWalk host on this guided tour to hear from featured artists. 1 5:30 PM | The Gallery at the Watershed (321 Mill St #6) The Gallery at the Watershed is pleased to present its “Winter Invitational,” featuring Lillian Almeida, Bill Brewer, Robert Canaga, Gene Costanza, Abbas Darabi, Heather Halpern (right), Wes Hurd, Kirk Lybecker, Renee Manford, Carrie O’Coyle, Claudia Schouten, and Jeff White. The show will be on display January 20 – March 30. 2 No Shame Eugene (Atrium Building, 99 W 10th Ave) The doors open at 7:30pm with live music. The show begins at 8pm with fifteen original, 5-minute acts including monologues, sketch comedy, and the experimental. FREE! LANE ARTS COUNCIL FIRST FRIDAY ARTWALK GUIDE 6 PM | OH SO JO (299 E 5th Ave) OH SO JO is a shop/studio featuring hand-painted furniture by Jo Morton (left). Jo offers workshops, private classes and versatile products that help you gain the confidence to create your own personal masterpiece. Bobbi Miller, the onsite apprentice, will also be showing some of her reworked furniture. In addition, OH SO JO represents the vibrant and impressionistic art of Shelley Roenspie, a local artist that specializes in mixed media on board. 3 27 6:30 PM | MECCA (449 Willamette) MECCA introduces “Explosion,” featuring artists Erin Even and Jill Mardin (right). This exhibit is a virtual explosion of mixed media, assemblage, and installation. Even and Mardin bring their unique styles together to showcase bursts of colors and textures in this mixed media show which promises sculptures, assemblage, and visits from puppets. 4 7 PM | Jacobs Gallery (Hult Center) The Jacobs Gallery is proud to present an exhibit of original works by artists from Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts, showing documented, hand-pulled prints. The show, featuring approximately 29 artists, is on display through March 14, 2015. 5 7:30 PM | The Lincoln Gallery (309 W 4th Ave) The OSLP Lincoln Gallery showcases “Layered,” a selection of mixed media artwork by 22 artists from the OSLP Arts and Culture Program. “Layered” features an exciting assortment of clay, weavings, acrylic, monoprints, paper mache, and video. This show will be exhibited through February 27, 2015. Additionally, the Community Room Gallery hosts a reception for Oregon Coast artist Richard Roberts. Image: Vera Gray. Open until 7pm 26 Urban Therapeutic (749 Willamette St) Original handcrafted functional pottery by local artist Tracie Manso.
