Man wanted following shooting at Montreal Road and Bradley Street UPDATE: Canada Wide Warrant has been issued for the arrest Adil OMER for Attempt Murder The Ottawa Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in locating wanted suspect Adil OMER following a shooting on November 21, 2015 at Montreal Road and Bradley Street. At approximately 10:30pm on November 21 st , 2015, the Ottawa Police Service responded to a shooting at Montreal Road and Bradley Street. When uniformed officers arrived they located a male victim who had been shot in the lower leg. Further investigation revealed that an unidentified black male, in his early 20’s and wearing a suit, had fired multiple rounds from a semi-automatic handgun at the victim while he was trying to run away. The male victim, who is known to the Guns and Gangs Unit, was hit at least once. The victim is not cooperating with investigators and the shooting is believed to be gang related. OMER is described as a Black male, 32 years old, 6’ (183cm), 205lbs (93kg) (see picture.) He is considered armed and dangerous. Please do not approach him, contact police. Shooting investigation Debra Avenue on The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with information on a shooting that took place on November 23 rd, at 4:50am on the 900 block of Debra Avenue. Officers attended a call for service of gunshots heard on Debra Avenue around 4:50am. Officers investigated on scene, but found no evidence to the information gathered from complainants. No injuries were reported. At 4:00 pm, officers returned to the 900 block of Debra Avenue to investigate evidence found at a home with bullet holes in the front window, and bullets found lodged in a wall inside the home. Guns and Gangs Investigators are looking for public assistance for any information pertaining to this investigation. Ottawa: Man with a gun to be identified UPDATE: MALE HAS BEEN ARRESTED. The Ottawa Police Service Guns & Gangs Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with the identity of a male seen with a gun in January 2015. On January 17, 2015, at approximately 9:00am, a man was seen in the area of Woodroffe Avenue and Stoneway Drive. The man was brandishing a gun and pointed it at a motorist. Several calls were received by Ottawa Police. Patrol officers responded, searched the area and did not find the man. The man is described as Caucasian, early 20s, 5’6″ (168 cm) to 5’9″ (175 cm) with a slim build. He has black spiky hair and was wearing a black coat and grey jeans (see photo). Ottawa: Shots fired into residence on Elmira Drive The Ottawa Police Guns/Gang Unit and Crime Stoppers are a seeking the public’s assistance with the identity of suspect(s) involved in a shooting on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at approximately 10:40pm that occurred in the 2200 block of Elmira Drive. Through the course of the investigation it was learned that three bullets were fired into a residence and no one was injured. The projectiles were recovered at the scene. The Guns and Gangs Unit has taken carriage of the investigation and is looking to speak to any witnesses to the incident. Seeking witnesses to shooting incident on Penny Drive The Ottawa Police Service Guns/Gang Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with information on the identity of a shooting that took place in the 2900 block of Penny Drive on November 26, 2014 at approximately 8:45pm. Multiple shots were fired at a residence and entered the upper window at the rear of the property. No injuries resulted from these gun shots; however there were 4 young children playing in the room at the time of the incident. Guns and Gangs are investigating and are seeking witnesses.
