anrainern.
die kunst wird hier nicht gesucht sondern nur gefunden.
kunst bedeutet hier einen eingriff in den alltag.

Kunsthalle Tirol, Hall - For the opening of the exhibition
"GeldLust: Modellbanking" ("MoneyLust: Model Banking"), a
tanker truck filled with CaSH perfume will be parked in front
of the main entrance of the Kunsthalle. From the truck, the
public can dispense CaSH-the Scent of Money directly into
specially-created 50ml flacons.

rachel whiteread wurde 1963 in london geboren.
sie erlangte 1993 durch ihre arbeit “house” schlagartig
weltweite berühmtheit. von ihr stammt auch das mahnmal
am judenplatz im 1. bezirk.
in einem heruntergekommenen londoner stadtteil goß
whiteread ein ganzes haus von innen mit beton aus. dann
wurde das äußere - also das ursprüngliche haus abgerissen/entfernt.

1993 : house : rachel whiteread : ein guss ist die umkehr
dessen was da war. er macht sichtbar, was nicht da ist. die
reaktion der anrainer war: “so etwas darf & kann es nicht
geben”.

“house” wurde als symbol der vergänglichkeit gelesen. mit dem
abguss entsteht raum für geschichte. der guss erzählt immer
was war und nie, was sein wird (nicht einmal was ist).

The group Laibach was established in the year 1980 in Trbovlje, an
industrial-coal mining town in the centre of Slovenia (YU).
Upon its founding in 1980 Laibach prepared in Trbovlje its first multimedia project "Red Districts (Rdeci revirji)", designed to
challenge the striking contradictions of the political structure of the
town at that time. The project was banned before it opened, which
prevented the first public appearance of the group, though not the
angry media response which followed. Laibach appeared again in
1982, with their first concert appearance in Ljubljana. This was
followed by the first concerts around Yugoslavia (Zagreb, Belgrade),
and a headlining appearance at the New Rock festival in the centre of Ljubljana. On June 23rd 1983, the group made its first television
appearance, an interview on the political/news programme "TV
Tednik". The interview provoked numerous reactions, and was
followed by an administrative/political ban on public appearances
and the use of the name Laibach. November and December 1983 saw
the first European tour by the group, the "Occupied Europe Tour"
(with the British group Last Few Days).

LAIBACH works as a team (the collective spirit),
according to the principle of industrial
production and totalitarianism, which means that
the individual does not speak; the organization
does. Our work is industrial, our language
political.
LAIBACH is the knowledge of the universality of
the moment. It is the revelation of the absence of
balance between sex and work, between
servitude and activity. It uses all expressions of
history to mark this imbalance. This work is

Maywa Denki is an art unit produced by Nobumichi Tosa. It was
named after the company that his father used to run bygone
days.
The costume is designed as a typical working uniform of
Japanese electric stores, symbolizing small/medium-sized
enterprises that had once supported Japanese economy during
its high-growth period. Its unique style is indicated by a term he
uses: for example, each piece of Maywa Denki's work is called "a
product" and a live performance or exhibition is held as "a
product demonstration". The products produced so far include
"NAKI Series", fish-motif nonsense machines, "TSUKUBA Series",
original musical instruments, and "EDELWEISS Series", flowermotif objet d, art. Although Maywa Denki is known and
appreciated as an artist, its promotion strategies are full of
variety: exhibition, live stages, performances, producing music,
videos, writing, merchandising toys, stationery, and electric

“From August 4-12, 2001, twenty five media artists and
activists from three different continents gathered together
at Irbene, in the forests of western Latvia, at the site of a
Soviet-era 32meter dish antenna. Formerly used to spy on
satellite transmissions between Europe and North America
by the KGB, the antenna was abandoned and nearly
destroyed when the Russians departed in 1994. The dish is
currently under repair for civilan use as one of the top 5
