TheprestigiousSaint-Tropezestablishmentopensitsdoorsforthe2016seasoninmid-April.
This little corner of paradise, located between Saint-Tropez's famous Place des Lices, the
PampelonnebeachesandtheRamatuellevineyards,onceagainoffersaseasonfullofeventsand
excitingnewdevelopments.ExecutiveChefPierrickBerthier,whodesignedtheChâteau'srefined
cuisine,whichshowcasesregionalproduce,hasacquiredasecondpairofhandswiththehiringof
BilalAmrani,thenewheadchefforL'Acacia.Thepairwilllaunchaskilfullycomposed"duet"with
cuisinethatisregional,authenticandinventive.Wearealsodelightedtoannouncethecomplete
refurbishment of the Suites du Golfe; a new hair salon, Nelly & Magdalena; new treatments at
theSpaandaparticularlyrichculturalseason!
WithitsperfecthilltoplocationattheheartofthevillageofSaint-Tropez,theChâteauhaslong
been a favourite spot for all those who have fallen under the spell of the tranquil, luminous
atmosphereofthishistoricregion.
The Château officially became a Palace hotel in June 2012 and offers 57 suites and 60 rooms,
eachwithaprivategardenorterrace,ensuringtheguestscantrulyenjoythestunningviews.

Once again, the winter proved the perfect opportunity to refurbish a dozen rooms and suites.
Following the work done in the Pampelonne Suites and the historic areas of the Château, the
SuitesduGolfeonthefirstflooroftheGrandeBastidenowopenontoabreath-takingviewover
theGulfofSaint-Tropez.
The three-year programme to prune the pines on the ten-hectare domain has also been
completed.Asaresult,hotelguestscanbenefitmoreeasilyfromthespectacularpanoramaover
thePampelonnebeachesandCanebiersBay.
Perhaps a little less romantic, but eminently practical, the Wi-Fi system has been entirely
redesigned to offer better, denser coverage throughout the property and respond to the evermoreexactingdemandsofclientsintermsofcommunication.
L'AcaciaRestaurant:themomentumcontinues
Head Chef Bilal Amrani, under the direction of Executive Chef Pierrick Berthier, aims to offer
guests at the Château de la Messardière, and indeed anyone who appreciates fine dining, a
cuisine that is gourmand and inspired by traditional French cookery, with ingredients prepared
withduerespect.
Whether drawing on his Mediterranean-influenced childhood memories or the fishing port of
Saint-Tropez,BilalAmranifavoursregionalproduce,smallproducersandprotectedorcontrolled
appellations that offer flavours certain to enchant his guests, using locally sourced ingredients
wheneverpossible.

Emilie Rougemont, Director of the Spa du Château, a true haven of tranquillity with its 465 m²

hotel Le K2 at 1850, has chosen the Château de la Messardière for her first opening in SaintTropez. She will be assisted by Magdalena Chevasson, who manages the Manali hair salon
(Courchevel1650)duringthewinter.Twoprofessionalhairstylistswhoaremorethanusedtoa5starclientele.

-ThepartnershipwiththeTropézinaBeachhasbeenrenewedforthetwentiethyear.Asaresult,
guests from the Château de la Messardière can enjoy special treatment at the Pampelonne

Culturalandliteraryevents
- In a tribute to artists and their work, from 14 April to 14 June, we are enchanted to welcome
AnneVernon,whowillrevealthesecretsofherpictorialworldandunveilhermostbeautiful
paintings. During the summer, the first edition of the Messardière Summer Art Show will be
held in partnership with the international gallery Bel Air Fine Art. And finally, we are all
delightedtoannouncethatfrom8Julyto21August,aSalvadorDaliexhibitionwillbeheldin
theSalonPatioofftheGalerieVictoire.
-From20to22May,thesixtheditionofthePrixMessardière—Romandel’Etéliteraryawardwill
be held. As last year, the judging panel will be presided over by Jean-Marie Rouart of the
AcadémieFrançaise.Itshouldalsobenotedthatabookfair,inpartnershipwiththeLibrairie
deSaint-Tropez,willwelcomesometwentyauthors,creatinganadditionalliteraryeventthat
willcoincidewiththeannouncementofthe2016summerbookprizewinner.
