Sweet Street Sour Cream Coffee Cake
Comfort foods have made a big comeback on foodservice menus,
and few things are as comforting as a dessert that looks and tastes
just like Mom used to make. These cobblers and pies are made with
the ripest fruits, creamiest fillings, crumbliest toppings, and flakiest
crusts to deliver Mom-worthy goodness with every bite.
Among the most loved comfort foods are pies and cobblers, and as
consumers look for comfort, a number of classic flavors are growing
more common on menus, such as pumpkin pie, pecan pie, peach pie,
coconut cream, and lemon meringue. In addition, pies are no longer
served with just vanilla ice cream but with vanilla bean ice cream or
upscale signature sauces and liqueurs.
Not surprisingly, the iconic apple pie continues to rank No. 1 among
pie flavors. Variations on the classic include caramel apple and Dutch
apple.
A number of tropical-inspired pies are becoming more popular, and Key
lime pie has surpassed chocolate and moved to the No. 2 spot.
Southern classics remain important pie flavors, including pecan, sweet
potato, and peach. Indulgent flavors, such as chocolate, peanut
butter, Oreo, and French silk also remain popular.
Pies are getting an upscale touch as menus begin to specify
what ingredients are being used. Apple pies are being made
into apple tarts or the type of fruit is being specified, such as

That’s great news for you—because people go to restaurants to
get something they can’t easily get at home. We offer a wide range
of melt-in-your-mouth cheesecake varieties, from classic New Yorkstyle to assorted specialty flavors, all ready to serve in just minutes.
Classic cheesecake appeals to the greatest number of restaurant
patrons. In fact, it’s offered in nearly a quarter of all restaurants.
Other popular flavors are strawberry, chocolate, and raspberry.
Cheesecakes are a great way to bring variation to the dessert menu
