ChristLife The joy of the Gospel fills the hearts
and lives of all who encounter Jesus.
Those who accept his offer of salvation are set free
from sin, sorrow, inner emptiness and loneliness.
With Christ joy is constantly born anew. In this
Exhortation I wish to encourage the Christian
faithful to embark upon a new chapter of evangelization
marked by this joy, while pointing out new paths
for the Church’s journey in years to come.
(Evangelii Gaudium, The Joy of the Gospel)
Coming this Fall our parish will embark upon a new
chapter of evangelization in response to our recent
three Popes’ call. Discovering Christ will begin in
September and run once-a-week for seven weeks.
It is our hope that those who participate will experience
liberation from sin, grow in their understanding
of their faith, renew their faith, and come to live in
the joy which Jesus desires for all of us.
Caribbean Celebration You and your family are
invited to attend the Annual Diocesan Caribbean
Mass & Celebration on Sunday, June 8 at
1:30 p.m. at St. Monica’s Church.
Father Roger Pascall from Toronto will preside at the Mass.
After the Mass there will be a gathering outside with
Caribbean music and food. Anyone who would like to
donate Caribbean food may contact Elizabeth Johnston
(585 328 3228 or [email protected]).
This event is sponsored by the Diocese of Rochester.
Follow in the Footsteps of St. John Paul II
in Poland and Rome, with Deacon Dennis Lohouse.
(Oct. 6-13, 2014) You will travel to Krakow, Auschwitz and
Rome.You will see the cathedral where Fr. Karol Wojtyla
offered his first Mass, and where he served as bishop
. You will visit the Concentration Camp at Auschwitz
as well as the birthplace of our newest saint.
In Rome you will visit the Coliseum, the Pantheon
and the Circus Maximus. You will also have
the opportunity to attend Mass at the Vatican and enjoy
a tour of the Vatican Museums, as well as the Sistine Chapel.

ChristLife El gozo del Evangelio llena los corazones y

En el otoño nuestra parroquia se embarcará en un nuevo capítulo
de evangelización, respondiendo al llamado de nuestros
Papas recientes. Descubriendo a Cristo empezará en septiembre
y continuará una vez por semana por siete semanas.
Es nuestra esperanza que los que participen experimenten la
liberación del pecado, crecer en su entendimiento de su
fe, renovar su fe y llegar a vivir en la alegría que
Jesús desea para todos nosotros.
Celebración Caribeña Ud. y su familia está invitado a asistir
a la Misa & Celebración Caribeña Anual de la Diócesis
el domingo, 8 de junio a la 1:30 en la Iglesia Sta. Mónica.
Padre Roger Pascall de Toronto presidirá la Misa. Después de la
Misa tendremos una convivencia con música y comida Caribeña.
