Notice how some modern pop artists use exaggerated foreshortening?

Requirements:
 Indicate which Pop Artist you are imitating – Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Peter Max, Howie Green,
(Jasper Johns & Keith Haring) You may also choose from modern pop artists: Ron Burns, Alicia Vannoy,
Dean Russo & any other pop artist you discover with teacher’s approval.
 Choose 4 Harmonious color schemes including one or more Analogous color schemes, identify each
 Include artist statement on back of artwork. It should include why you choose this pop artist theme
/style/technique & how you incorporated it into your work to make it your own unique/personal piece of art.
 Each image must be done on 8x10 tag board. [Then taped together with a flat seam using masking tape, so
they may be displayed on wall & later may be used for ‘Project 65’ table top centerpieces.]
 At bottom of each image indicate: original title of work & pop artist – color scheme – your name.
Objectives:
o Color schemes used correctly & identified.
o Pop artists theme or style easily recognized in student’s artwork, and was a good choice for this piece.
o Artist statement reflects knowledge of pop artist & shows personal connection to student’s work.
o Aesthetically pleasing composition, (balance, focal point, etc.) “looks like a real piece of artwork”
o Evidence of improving painting skills – neat brush strokes, mixing/blending colors.
o Good Craftsmanship – effort is evident by neat presentation of work & attention to detail. (student must have
made good use of time to complete
