1st. INTERNATIONAL MARIAN CONGRESS &
GUADALUPE FESTIVAL
On August 6-8, 2009, the first International Marian
Congress and Guadalupe Festival will be held in
Phoenix, Arizona. The congress concludes with the
festival on August 8. The festival will be afternoon
of celebration and devotion and will feature an international array of performers as well as a living rosary. The Knights of Columbus, the Diocese of
Phoenix, The Archdiocese of Mexico City and the

Child Protection Is A Priority for the Church

MASS INTENTIONS
We place in the Bulletin the intentions of each Mass
for the whole week. Never the less, there are many
people, who come just as the Mass is about to start
and ask the celebrant to mention their personal
intention for that Mass. This is not the proper
approach to the case. People wishing to request a
Mass intention, should come personally to the parish
office at least three weeks or one months in advance
of their intended date, so that the intention be duly
registered in the parish Mass Book and included in
the parish Bulletin.

Every 10 seconds a case of a child abuse or neglect is
reported. As a result, approximately 118,000 children
live in foster care in the state of California. Our agency
is working diligently to find these children stable, committed, and loving foster families.
As a 30-year old nonprofit foster care agency serving
Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego,
Kern County residents, WFS holds orientations in our
Mission Hills office regularly for those with an interest
in becoming foster parents. The foster children we
serve include infants/toddlers, children and teenagers
including those with developmental disabilities and
special health care needs. We offer 24-hour support,
free training and reimbursement based on the age or

Este programa de catequesis es un proceso de evangelización para jóvenes y adultos mayores de 18 años
de edad ya bautizados, pero que no han recibido ni la
Confirmación ni la Primera Comunión. Está diseñado
para todos los que desean conocer la fe católica y
quieren también comprometerse más profundamente
en la comunidad a través de la evangelización. Para
inscribirse, solamente deben presentarse el Martes a
las 7:00 pm en el salón # 12. Traiga copia del Acta
de Bautismo.
BAUTISMOS EN EL SANTO ROSARIO
Los padres de los niños deben pasar a la Oficina
Parroquial por lo menos un mes antes de la fecha del bautismo para apuntar a su hijo/a para bautizar. Los padrinos
deben ser mayores de edad y tener el Sacramento de la
Confirmación, si son pareja deben estar casados por la
Iglesia Católica Romana y traer comprobante. Los niños
para ser bautizados en el proceso regular, tiene que ser
antes de que cumplan los seis años de edad ya pasada
esta edad serán enviados al proceso de RICA. Traigan
acta de nacimiento del niño/a. Se les pide una
cooperación de $ 30.00.

Los novios, las parejas casadas por el civil solamente, y
las parejas que no están casadas y que desean casarse por
la iglesia, están invitadas a una sesión de información
matrimonial en la que se podrán enterar de los pasos a
seguir. Se lleva a cabo el segundo Viernes de cada mes
en el salón 16 de la escuela a las 7:00 pm. La próxima
fecha será el Viernes, 12 de junio.
CATECISMO DE VERANO
Las inscripciones para el catecismo de verano para
los jóvenes adolescentes que no han hecho la Primera
Comunión comenzarán el 1 de junio en la oficina
parroquial. Este programa es para los adolescentes de
13-17 años de edad que fueron bautizados pero no
han hecho la Primera Comunión. Hay cupo limitado
de 50 alumnos solamente. Las clases iniciaran el 29
ENCUENTRO MATRIMONIAL invita a las
parejas a echar un vistazo a su matrimonio y a darle chispa al amor. Si desea participar en un fin de semana que
