SPARKASSE KOELNBONN BONN 2014 - The Sparkasse building develops its urban figure from this setting: individual
building elements, suited to the scale of the surroundings, are combined to create a large entity. The edge of the old
bastion is taken up, the stepping and terracing of the building, deemed necessary along Florentiusgraben, help it form
a suitable pendant to the existing development. The lower plinth section holds everything together and, with its
terraces, draws the surrounding open space into the building.
