Family-owned Marchesi Antinori is arguably the most famous house in Italian wine, and starting
this year, for the very first time, guests can get an inside look at the family’s more than 625 years of
Italian winemaking history.
Tradition, passion and intuition have been the three driving principles which have led the
Marchesi Antinori firm to become a leader in Italian wine.
The Antinori family has been involved in the production of wine for over six centuries, ever since,
in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori entered as a member, the “Arte Fiorentina”, the Winemakers’
Guild of the city of Florence. During this entire long period, thorough twenty six generations, the
family has always directly managed this work with courageous and, at times, innovative decisions,
but always maintaining, unaltered, a fundamental respect for tradition and for the territory in which
they have operated. “Ancient roots play an important role in our work. But have never been a limit
to our innovative spirit”.
Curiosity, passion and the desire to explore different vines and terrains which had the potential
for great winemaking led the Antinori family on the journey that brought them to the new “Wine
Areas” producing wines in the respect for tradition and for the land of Tuscany. This passion,
together with the enjoyment of hospitality and good food, can be found and rediscovered in special
places, rich in tradition, in a perfect harmony of flavors, colors and fragrances.
Day 1 _ Travel to Tuscany and reach your 4 Star
Hotel located in Florence. We always select
structures that we know personally and with whom
we work a long time. All our packages include
breakfast buffet with a preference for local products.
_ Welcome dinner at the Cantinetta di Antinori in
the historic centre of Florence. Your voyage of
discovery of new flavour sensations is beginning
with a selection of recipes divided up according to
the four seasons, out of respect for the tradition of Tuscan cooking. This tradition is based on the
philosophy that "every product from the earth should be eaten during its natural season of ripening
in order to be able to fully enjoy its flavors". For each recipe are recommended the Antinori wine
best suited for that dish. Enjoy the food and have fun!
Back to your accommodation for overnight.
Day 2 _ After breakfast at your accommodation you
head into the gently rolling hills covered with
vineyards in the heart of the Chianti Classico where
you stop at Badia a Passignano where “A fairy tale
is a timeless page in time that one savours little by
little”. The tale of Badia a Passignano is hidden in the
maze of its precious vineyards, in the serene shadows
of its olive groves, in the spirituality of its ancient
Abbey, in the warmth of the hospitality and generous
affability of the people and the beauty of the
countryside surrounding us. Meet at the wine shop at
Badia a Passignano. Tour to the vineyards with an
introduction to viticulture and wine production. From
here guests will visit the historic cellars below the
Abbey. Continue to lunch at Osteria di Passignano
restaurant were guests will be served the tasting
menu with wine pairing. Wines will include:
Marchese Antinori Riserva, Chianti Classico Riserva
Badia a Passignano, Tignanello, Solaia and Vinsanto
delle Tenute. The meal will be preceded by extravirgin olive oils tasting.
Lunch will be followed by a visit to the newest Antinori Chianti Classico Estate in Bargino where
tradition opens up to the future. The cellars inaugurated on October 25th, 2012 are the Antinori
family’s homage to the territory of Chianti Classico, a confirmation of the historic ties to the
family’s place of origin. It is unique in Italy in its type: constructed with local materials and with the
maximum respect for the environment and of the Tuscan landscape. The cellars, therefore, were
constructed for reasons strictly tied to the production of wine but also to give a vast public of wine
lovers the opportunity to enter into direct contact with the production philosophy of the family,
offering the possibility of seeing, from the vineyard to the bottle, how a wine is born, observing step by step - the phases of fermentation and aging. Visit of the Estate and wine tasting.
Early evening we are back in Florence. The evening is free.
Day 3 _ After breakfast at your accommodation, at 10.30
am. our professional guide will meet you in the historic
center of Florence for a walking tour of two hours. With
attentive and very knowledgeable assistance of a local guide
who speaks your language, you can visit nearby monuments
and squares that make unique Italy. You will be accompanied
by a very nice guide who will explain all the curiosity of
Italian people and the traditions of Tuscany. This is the best
way to see and learn about a city without getting lost in
unfamiliar areas: you can optimize your time looking at
things at once the most beautiful and famous!
At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to continue the free visit to the city, we will be
happy to give you some tips and directions to fully enjoy your stay in Tuscany!
Free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, took the bags at the hotel and hailed Florence, with our minibus we will take you
to Siena at your new 4 Star Hotel in Siena (70 km far from Florence) where dinner will be served
with a preference for local, seasonal produce accompanied by Tuscan wines. You can relax at your
residence to regain your strength and get ready for the next day.
Day 4 _ After breakfast at your accommodation we continue to Tenuta La Braccesca just a miles
away from the city of Montepulciano, near the border between Tuscany and neighboring Umbria.
La Braccesca estate is surrounded by a splendid territory
situated in two very close, but entirely different, zones:
Montepulciano, the classic and prestigious area of “Vino
Nobile”, and Cortona, which has made a name for itself
in world markets principally with international grape
varieties, above all Syrah. These two different “souls”,
the essential spirit of different terroirs, represent the
Braccesca style with its respect for tradition and, at the
same time, tireless research. The wines of the La
Braccesca estate are the results of this happy synthesis.
Visit of the estate, wine tasting and buffet lunch with typical and local products.
After lunch we go back to Siena. Our professional guide
will meet you in the historic center for a walking tour of
two hours. The historic centre of Siena has been declared
by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. It is one of the
nation's most visited tourist attractions. Siena is famous
for its cuisine, art, museums, medieval cityscape and the
Palio, the horse race held twice a year.
At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to
continue the free visit to the city, we will be happy to give
you some tips and directions to fully enjoy your stay in
Tuscany!
Free time for dinner.
Day 5 _ After breakfast at your accommodation we
continue to the South towards Grosseto for a visit and
lunch at Le Mortelle wine estate, in the Tuscan
Maremma near the town of Castiglione della Pescaia. The
estate has belonged to the Antinori family since 1999, and
it has worked both on the vineyards and the new cellars
with the firm conviction that the area, at the time just
emerging into prominence in the overall panorama if
Italian wine, had a very significant potential for the
production of high quality wine where the finest
characteristics of the terroir and the varieties to be planted could fully find an excellent expression.
The cellar is, in large part, underground in order to minimize its impact on the environment and was
constructed using natural materials, allows the most efficient use of the finest technology for the
production of wine.
Visit of the estate, wine tasting and buffet lunch with typical and local products.
After lunch we continue to the North towards Siena and we stop at the spa of Petriolo Thermae for
you to relax in an oasis of well-being of body and
mind. Set in a private nature reserve and built just
above the medieval spa of Petriolo, the Resort allows
its guests to enjoy not only the healing properties of
thermal water at 43 ° C, but also the historical beauty
of a natural paradise praised since antiquity. The
pool that collects the thermal waters of Petriolo,
surrounded by magical scents and colors, gives the
guests an unforgettable sensory experience, in sign
of being more intimate.
After this break of relaxation will bring you again to
Siena.

Day 6 _ After breakfast at your accommodation we will be at your disposal for the departure from
Tuscany.
