presence of God as you worship with us and that your faith will be challenged and renewed by the music, sharing, prayer and message.
If you are visiting with us or a regular, please fill out the attendance slip in your
bulletin. Your prayer concerns will be shared with our Leadership Team and Church
Prayer Teams. Place the completed card in the offering basket as it is passed. Bibles
are available at the rear of the auditorium; take one if you like.
Childcare An infant nursery with cribs and monitors is available at the rear of the
sanctuary. Children who are in kindergarten through grade 5 will be dismissed to
Children’s Church downstairs.
The PURPOSE OF MAPLE GROVE is . . .
 To glorify God by worship, teaching, preaching, prayer, giving, & modeling Christ
 To bring people into a relationship with Christ and to deepen that
relationship through evangelism, teaching, preaching, small groups and activities.
 To promote stewardship of God’s resources (broadly defined) entrusted to

ANNOUNCEMENTS
OCTORARA GOOD NEWS CLUB Spring semester starts tomorrow, Feb.10 and
continues for 7 weeks through April 7 (except Feb. 17 & Mar. 17). The club is in dire need
of volunteers to help with the spring semester. Club is for grades K-4 and meets on
Mondays from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Volunteers from grade 6 to grandparents are welcome!
Adults can listen to memory verses and/or help out other small group leaders. If you
would like to help or have further questions, please contact Missy King at:

SWEETHEART SOCIAL is Friday, February, 14, 6:30pm at Maple Grove. the cost is $36
per couple and a meal will be provided by Triple Fresh Catering. Anyone who would like
to surprise their spouse with a Val-A-Gram song or poem delivered by Mike & Fi during
the evening, needs to let them know by today. Ticket deadline is also today. Contact
Erwin & Robin S for tickets and more information.
MISSING ITEM The portable projector screen from the church is missing. If you have it or

PENNY POWER
“. . . if you offer food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light
shall rise in the darkness and your gloom be like the noonday.” (Isaiah 58:10)
During February and March we are collecting for PENNY POWER. Our coins will be
counted at the PA Relief Sale, April 4 & 5. Contributions can be placed in the coin barrel
in the foyer or in containers in your classrooms.
In 2013, Penny Power at the Pennsylvania Relief Sale raised $145,509.55 for MCC's
water program. There were 863,461 coins counted and also two matches from
anonymous donors; one for $50,000, the other for $15,000. Penny Power 2014 will
support the food program work that MCC is doing around the world.
MCC's food program works where food insecurity makes it difficult for communities to
provide a sufficient, year round supply of food to families. Read stories and examples @
food.mcc.org. In Matthew 25:35 Jesus said "I was hungry and you gave me food..."
Create in me a pure heart, O God,

ACC BIBLE QUIZZING
Maple Grove will hose the ACC Quiz Match this evening. Come on out and show your
support for our team and coaches!
Last week’s score: 1-1. Kait has quizzed out every
match and therefore is at the top of the league leader
board. Maria also quizzed out in a match.

MAPLE GROVE LIFE GROUPS (an update from Pastor Seth)
February 16th: Life Group leaders will begin contacting potential members of their
groups to confirm that the night of the week and the typical location of the gathering will
work for them (location may vary depending on who’s hosting).
February 24th: This is for all those signed-up for a Life Group; we will gather at the
church at 6:30 pm. This will be a time of teaching followed by breaking out into our
groups for planning for future gatherings. Childcare will be provided.
