WHAT IS IT?: BikeMaine is a fully-supported, seven day cycling tour held in midSeptember, the prime time to cycle in New England. BikeMaine is an event offered by the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, a nonprofit organization with more than 5,000 members working to make Maine better through biking and walking. Cyclists pedal an average of 55 miles per day along moderately challenging terrain on uncrowded, safe and quiet roadways, through small towns rich in local culture. Kennebunk will be one of the six communities happily hosting Bike Maine cyclists and volunteers this year. camp under the stars at a local park Friday evening and leave the next day. WHAT CAN YOU DO? Arundel Historical Society Heritage Day takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at North Chapel Common, on the corner of Route 111 (Alfred Road) and Limerick Road, Arundel.
