Ewa Michalska Fashion Nowadays, high boots (above ankles) are fashionable in Poland. They are comfortable and pretty. They are not cheap, but perfect and useful in autumn. There are so many colours you can choose from: white, pink, blue, brown, black, orange or red. Now, when the November flood of the most hyped up games is coming, we’ve got a moment to think about the products, which we desire. Everybody is waiting for one or more new features and certainly there are no two persons, who want the same. All of the players usually need something different. And developers try to give us as much as they can and as fast as they can. The word “fast” is the most important in the previous sentence. If they issue a game faster, they will earn money faster, and they can work on the next games. In all of this there is one “little” mistake. They usually forget about the quality of products. Anyway, let’s start enumerating how many games were the total failures because they were made in a hurry: the Battlefield 4 net-code has been fixed one year after the premiere, Need for Speed: Rivals still crashes 3 times per hour, Assassin’s Creed III has a lot of bugs and 6 parts of Call of Duty looks pretty like one game. Nowadays, developers often postpone premiere dates in order not to destroy the whole reputation in one moment. Why did they need so much time to realize that people prefer refined and optimized games, without so many bugs and crashes? No one knows, but we should believe that the good times will come in the near future. Maciej Szkliniarz Cars In the world there is over one billion cars - mainly in the USA and China. Cars in Poland are very different. They are mainly a make-overs of Asian and European cars. In the twentieth century in Poland there were a lot beautiful cars like Siren, Fiat Toddler or Trabant. Nowadays, in Poland you can very rarely see some old-fashioned cars. Motorization is still developing for the better . People try to make cars as environmentally friendly as possible. Currently they are creating thousands of models of cars. There were and still are a lot of beautiful cars. Kamil Standura My hobby is... My hobby is Majorette. I like it a lot. I practice it on Wednesdays and Thursdays for one hour. During trainings we learn new steps and tricks. We use a special equipment. My instructor is very funny and friendly. I really like her. We take part in professional contests and competitions. I’m interested in it for two years. It’s great fun for me and I like my team. This is my team. I'm behind the two girls on the left. Klaudia Papierniok In this corner we will present beautiful places and marvelous curiosities of Poland. Słowiński National Park There are amazing dunes in the Słowiński National Park. Dunes are sandy hills piled up by the wind. The environmental conditions affect different shapes and sizes of the dunes. Little Poland (Małopolska), endowed by nature with a huge amount of interest, has one remarkable curiosity: the only desert in Poland. Located west of Olkusza, stretches between the towns of Klucze, Chechło and Błędów. The origin of Błędowska Desert is not entirely clear. The first theory involves the construction of the desert as a result of the application of sand and gravel in the ice age. Another hypothesis suggests that human activity has contributed to its creation. From the thirteenth century on, people cut down the surrounding forests as they needed to build silver and lead mines. And there is a third theory: a long, long time ago there was the devil, who flew over the land with a huge bag filled with sand. At some point it bumped on the top of the church tower and the spilled sand created the desert. Cis Henrykowski A specimen of the species tree yew, which is the oldest tree in Poland. It grows based on the house. Its age is estimated at approx. 1250 years. The tree was damaged during a hurricane in 1989.So no wonder the forest in Poland - in the nearby New Czarnow, near the power plant "Dolna Odra" growing unique natural curiosity - "Crooked Forest," although some also use the name "Forest Fairytale". It is a cluster of about 400 deformed pine trees in the area 1670m2, growing in 22 rows. The view formed by these trees is amazing.
