solutions. We do more than building buildings. Institutional – Community We’re building A.E. “Beanie” Backus House Fort Pierce Scope and Responsibilities: For Main Street Fort Pierce to move their offices into the A.E. “Beanie” Backus House in the Edgartown Historic District, they required a team to design and build hardscape/landscape elements to showcase the home, provide functional accessibility and create outdoor gathering areas. Having been a long time believer and past client, Main Street Fort Pierce again hired Richard K. Davis Construction Corporation, this time to embellish upon the schematic landscape vision of the architect Lewis + Associates. In partnership with Hayslip Landscape, limited funds were creatively invested to develop an award winning completion. Acclaimed by the city of Fort Pierce for its aesthetic and functional results, Mayor Linda Hudson recognized the site improvements with the well-deserved Gold Hammer Award. Date of completion: September 2012 ________________________________ Total square footage: 13,068 Site ________________________________ Contact: Doris Tillman Manager Main Street Fort Pierce Inc. “This is our third community project with the great staff at R.K. Davis. Our first was the historic City Hall, then the Manatee Observation and Education Center and now the Backus House. It has been a great experience working with your firm on these projects and the results are always above standards in quality” ________________________________ Design Partners: Project Showcase Lewis + Associates Landscape Architect ©2014 Richard K.
