At Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center, we try to make the holidays a little brighter for the families we serve, but we cannot do it alone. Each year, we look to the community to help us give these families the Christmas they deserve. Beginning November 6th, Safe Harbor will have a special tree located in our reception area. Hanging on the tree will be the names of children whose lives have been uprooted as a result of domestic violence. Organizations, families, and individuals are invited to choose a name from the tree and purchase gifts for that child. Gifts can include nonviolent toys, clothes, books, games, gift cards, etc., and can be dropped off at Safe Harbor during regular business hours. Members of the Knox College community volunteered at the Purple Hanger as part of the college’s Day of Service in September. Thank you, Knox! Find us on Facebook! 1188 W. Main St. P.O.
