bronze sponsors Barber Martin Agency Hunton & Williams Troutman Sanders patron ticket holders Kitty Claiborne Heather Daniel Claire Gastanaga Missy Ryan Cabell West Laura Wilson The YWCA is an organization that rescues innocent women, children and sometimes men from abusers, stalkers and other people involved in domestic violence and sexual assault. It amazes me how this organization helps people escape dangerous situations and get the services they need. I am very proud to support the YWCA and every program they have. They are changing the lives of women, children and men in distress and that needs to be shouted to the world. group therapy ywla families Megan Rahman Troutman & Sanders, LLP Tara Casey University of Richmond Law School collaborate historical building Paula Rieck MeadWestvaco Christine Centeno The Lewis Group, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Debbie Sexton Bank of America Robyn Deyo Barber Martin Agency Maya Payne Smart Shaka Smart Basketball Camps Manju Ganeriwala Department of the Treasury Gayle Jessup White GJW Communications Patty Gill Patty Gill, PLC Angie Williams Sun Trust Patty Shell Dominion Resources quality childcare eliminating racism 804 freedom change service dignity 804-612-6126 change empowering women early childhood transitioning education hospital accompaniment future donations equality nurture outstanding women awards advancement together healthy owa relationships success ywca private apartment rescue & recovery street vision transitional housing of richmond events media sponsors NBC12 Richmond Times-Dispatch WCVE elevating inspire opportunity hope rapid rehousing children Kim Mahan Maxx Potential 5th programs silver sponsors Genworth Royall & Company VCU Medical Center Wells Fargo crisis hotline sexual assault justice preschool Thanks to Debbie Johnston for her continued support Cathy Diskin, Treasurer Capital One Alice Land Capital One safe housing gold sponsor peace free low income giving development mission leadership in-kind donors Carreras Jewelers C.P. The Fellowship is designed to support the work or professional development of a woman who, like Pat, has a vision for change in her own life and the drive to make positive change in the Greater Richmond community. Applications will be accepted in the Fall of each year. Please visit out website for more information. When I moved back in with my abuser. Julie [YWCA counselor] told me it was okay and that the YW was still there for me, no matter what. After a bad fight, I was in the hospital and my son had to stay with his second-grade teacher. Julie told me not only could I come back to the shelter, but I'd have my own apartment now, and my son could have his own room. I still see Julie for counseling, but now I have my own apartment and hold my own lease. I've started a small business and know I am setting a good example for my son. There is no doubt in my mind that I would not be alive now if it wasn't for the YWCA. cash & cash equivalents net contributions receivable grants receivable other receivables prepaid expenses other current assets investments net property and equipment total assets liabilities & net assets 2014 $307,793 $187,990 $54,695 $40,116 $36,345 $2,695 $1,636,186 $2,068,247 $4,334,047 2013 $41,140 $198,680 $51,872 $60,905 $6,262 $2,695 $1,376,523 $2,142,166 $3,880,243 total liabilities net assets unrestricted temporary restricted total net assets $231,864 $167,420 $3,928,519 $173,664 $4,102,183 $3,420,325 $292,498 $3,712,823 total liabilities & net assets $4,334,047 $3,880,243 * a portion of additional revenue was reinvested in our endowment ................................ 24 My husband and I were working, but the recession hit both our industries hard. When we toured preschools we could afford, we knew they weren't high quality and we didn't want our kids there. Then we came to the YWCA and we were overjoyed. It was licensed, nationally-accredited, AND we were able to pay based on our income. We knew this was the place for us. All three of our children were students at the YW and each one is excelling in elementary school now.
