By helping recruit a member today, you can ensure this trend continues for years to come. YWCA memberships provide operating funds that allow us to provide necessary services to give our residents a 'Hand Up' in life. Our success stories keep us motivated! One of our Emergency Shelter residents, in her late 50’s, just moved to her own apartment and started working after being out of work for 10 years! She is paying her own rent and accomplished a great deal during her stay at the shelter. Another Emergency Shelter resident, in her late teens, just moved into her own apartment after her 60 days in the Shelter. She came to us from Job Corp. With encouragement and support from friends and the YWCA, she was able to save enough from her new full-time job to pay for her deposit and first month's rent! We are so happy for her and wish her all the best as she moves forward in her life! Thank you for an incredible first quarter of this year. While we can thank you, there aren’t enough words to portray the impact your membership has on our shelter! To get an inside look, be on the lookout for blog updates and a documentary about the shelter coming late 2015! ! ! ! !
