ATM Tips:
Don’t Be Charged
an Inquiry Fee
Many non-NEFCU ATMs ask if you would like your
balance before you proceed with your transaction. If you
elect this option instead of proceeding to the main menu,
you may be charged a fee. This fee is not considered a
“surcharge”, so it will not be refunded as part of the
benefits of our GO Green Checking account. If you do
not need your balance, simply proceed to the main menu
to conduct your transaction.

Use Caution at ATMs
There’s been a rash of skimming devices
installed on non-NEFCU ATMs in Nassau and
Suffolk Counties recently. Please exercise
caution when using your Credit and Debit
cards at ATMs. To help protect your account
against ATM thieves:

The sooner you report fraud, the sooner
the situation can be rectified.

is legitimate and not tacked on. Look for
things that strike you as odd. If
