like to read and hear about other books you may want to
join our book club. It meets the second Thursday monthly

Walking and safety: Here’s a helpful tip for those
Lifeline Writers: Do you like to write or wish to
who like to walk outside, especially around the lake. When
you walk alone, or even with a buddy, take along a cell
phone and be sure you have the Front Desk phone number
stored in it. The number is 404-633-8875. If you need a little
help storing the number for easy access stop by the desk and
we will help you put the number in and show you how to
quickly find it in an emergency.
Gibbs Gardens : On March 14 we plan to tour Gibbs
Gardens to see the millions of daffodils planted in various
parts of the gardens. This is a popular garden tour and we
will have lunch on site at Gibbs Gardens. Make plans to
sign up to tour Gibbs Gardens on March 14.. More
information will be in the March newsletter.
Cherry Blossom Festival: Also in March we hope
to visit Macon, GA to see the Cherry Blossom Festival on
March 28. The tickets are $12.00 for our group, plus $3.00
for the bus and then you pay for your lunch at a local
restaurant in Macon. We have taken this trip many times in
the past and it has always been a popular trip. Please save
the date for both March 14 to Gibbs and March 28 to the
Cherry Blossom Festival.
FANS: During Coffee Chat on Wednesday, February 19,
bring your hand held fan’s to show , and if you feel
comfortable leaving them on exhibit we would like to
display them to let others see the exhibit until dinner time.
You may put your name on the fan or we can make a name
tag for you if you let us know in advance. Please let Lynn
know in advance if you have a fan or a few fans to bring to
Coffee Chat or to put in the one day exhibit.

Study: Chocolate Reduces Strokes
A new study finds that compared with men who
reported eating little-to-no chocolate on a regular
basis, those who had the highest weekly
consumption of chocolate – about 63 grams per
week, or just a little more than 2 ounces – reduced
their likelihood of suffering a stroke by 17
percent. The latest findings, published in the
journal Neurology, are drawn from a population of
37,103 Swedish men, whose age ranged from 45
to 79 at the start of an average follow-up period
of about 10 years. The study fills out a picture of
chocolate consumption, especially dark chocolate,
that has firmly demonstrated cardiovascular
benefits for women. For men, however, research
on chocolate’s health benefits had been less
consistent in its findings.
Smiling is contagious;
you can catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner,
and someone saw my grin,
When he smiled I realized,
I’d passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile,
then I realized its worth,
A single smile, just like mine
could travel ‘round the earth.
So if you feel a smile begin,
don’t leave it undetected.
Let’s start an epidemic quick,
and get the world infected!
