SEPTEMBER
“Lines” an All-Media, Juried Exhibition
September 5-27, 2014
What’s Your “Line”? This was the question posed to artists who
entered the September 2104 juried, all-media exhibit. Is it a
smear of paint from one dot to another? A quick note penned on

a lifelong conversation?
With no specific definition in mind, the Northville Art House is
excited to present the personal interpretations of the word “lines”
in this eclectic show. Artists include: Sandra Ackerman, Clarine
Boles, Danna Wolke Bowersox, Peggy N. Brewer, Nancy Cassel,
Daria Fileta, Jack Glaab, Judy Gilmer, Jennifer Helner, Claudia
Hershman, Rosemary Lee, Ellen Leigh, Jan Lucking, Michael
McNamara, Aileen Mozug, Barbara Eko Murphy, DeAndre

LISA CARMODY
PHOTOGRAPHY
107 East Main Street
Suite 201
(734) 629-7242
www.lisacarmodyphotography.com
Lisa Carmody is a natural light photographer specializing
in maternity, newborn, baby, child and family portraits. She
offers newborn and baby photo sessions in her newly opened
downtown Northville studio.
SHOP
Sessions include digital files and a custom designed album. Lisa
also helps with print and product selections for clients’ home.
Canvases, albums, enlargements, and other photo products are
available to order. Session packages are available to capture
milestones from pregnancy through the first year. Expectant
parents are encouraged to spread the word to friends and family
that gift certificates are available in any denomination – perfect
for a baby shower gift!
Lisa’s portfolio can be viewed on her website at www.
lisacarmodyphotography.com.
Lisa’s approach to newborn photography is to create beautiful,
timeless works of art featuring the beauty and purity of each
baby. Newborn sessions take place within the first two weeks
of life, when she skillfully and artfully poses babies to create
her portraits. Lisa maintains a large collection of handmade
and hand selected props for use during sessions, from knit
bonnets to antique baskets and quilts, wraps, blankets, and
much more. Props are chosen to complement baby, not
overwhelm. Each session is expertly styled with parents’
input to create beautiful and custom works of art. Parents can
sit back, relax and take a break in Lisa’s comfortable studio
while their baby is being photographed, then join in for their
first portraits together as a family.
Maternity photo sessions are a popular choice with expectant
moms, and usually take place between the 32nd and 35th week
of pregnancy. These sessions can be done in the studio or onlocation – either in-home or at a number of sites around Northville.
Lisa also photographs children and families on-location. Clients
are encouraged to schedule early as available bookings fill up
fast - especially during the busy fall season. (If you’re thinking of
holiday card photos, now is the time to book!) Expectant parents
should plan to book a few months ahead of the baby’s due date.
