New Project Update lBeacon Square Villas – Construction has started on the Beacon Square Villas, located on the south side of 8 Mile, behind Meijer’s. The project contains 12 units, a combination of attached and detached condominiums. lThe Enclave - A 55 lot single family residential development by Pulte, located on the south side of 7 Mile Road, east of Silver Springs Drive. The 28 acre site includes small lots and approximately eight acres of open space. Construction is anticipated to begin in the fall. lSix Mile Road Reconstruction – Six Mile Road, between Haggerty Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling August 13th, 8:00am – 2:00pm – Westland Shopping Center (enter off Nankin Blvd from Central City Pkwy) Accepted items include: Paint, stain, cleaners, fertilizer, old prescriptions, oil, TV’s, laptops, copies, fax machines, cell phones, cables, speakers, keyboards, etc. Call the Wayne County Resource Recovery Coordinator for more information at 734-326-3936. Roadwork is anticipated to be completed by November 15, 2016 with final clean up and restoration taking place during the spring of 2017. Six Mile will be reconstructed to three lanes (eastbound, west bound and a center turn lane) with five lanes at the intersections. The road will remain open for westbound travel during the duration of the project. Eastbound travel will be detoured. The Planning Department provides a monthly listing of all new development. The map is available on the township’s website: www.twp.northville.mi.us, or from the Planning Department. The Northville Township Economic Development Corporation has a brochure available for distribution. The brochure contains specific information about Northville Township and information about the community in general. The brochure is titled Northville – LIVE, WORK AND PLAY. The brochure is free and can be obtained at the Township Hall.
