Cheadle Parish Church Those who are blessed, are called to be a blessing! In Touch 16 October 2016 Afternoon Tea Reunion with Wallace Benn Sunday 6 November 3-6pm As you may be aware, former Cheadle curate Wallace Benn will be visiting Cheadle on Sunday 6th November and preaching at services on that day. In the afternoon, we are planning a 'reunion tea' (drinks and cake) for those who were at Cheadle when Wallace was curate, from 3pm - 6pm in the Upper Room. If you knew Wallace and would like to attend, please either sign up using the 'Eventbrite' link on the St Mary's Facebook page or email Martin Attfield ([email protected]) so we have an idea of numbers. First time? Welcome! Make yourself at home. Need anything? Ask one of our welcome team who’d love to help. Toilets! (including baby change and disabled facilities) at the back, right hand corner of church. Stay for a chat! There are refreshments after the main services, served at the back Giving? There’s no collection during services. Please place any gifts in the box near the main door. Standing order and gift-aid forms are available. Young children? Use our sound-proofed Tower Room if they get restless, or join in Sunday clubs at Upper Room Deaf? An induction loop is available. Mobiles? Please turn OFF, unless on call Prayer? There is prayer support after 9.30 & 6.30 services, and during communion, at the front of the church by the Cheadle Cross. Manchester South Gideons branch will be visiting St James RC High in Cheadle Hulme tomorrow and Stockport School on Wednesday – pray that the New Testaments that they offer will be readily accepted and that they will be read and may God’s Spirit be at work to change the lives of the recipients. On Friday In Yer Face Theatre Company celebrate twenty years of sharing the gospel through dramatic productions. Now one of the ministries of the Message Trust pray that God will bless all involved as they go into schools,colleges and prisons week by week. They have a new production coming up soon – pray that they will get many bookings for this and that people will be challenged by the contents of the performance. Peter and Julie Fraser of Bible Encounter Trust will be taking over eleven assemblies this week in various locations prior to the half term break – pray that all who attend whether pupils, teachers or classroom staff will be captivated by the content of the material presented and reflect upon it.
