DRIVE ELECTRIC Business models for expanding the market 1) Battery Leasing • Battery leasing plans will expand the EV market by making electric cars more affordable to a larger segment of people due to flexibility of monthly payment for battery • Maintenance for the duration of the lease will be done by EV manufacturer • On completion of lease duration customer can continue with the same lease plan or upgrade to the latest battery packs available in the future 2) Pay per Use Model • EVs to be available at big campuses/apartments and other central locations to be used on a pay per use basis DRIVE ELECTRIC After 2013 – Phase IV DRIVE ELECTRIC Co-existence • The EV will be purchased as the second car in the family but will be used primarily – For daily commuting in the city due to its ease of driving and zero pollution attributes • Conventional cars will still be used due to their range capabilities • Supply side, government and technology all will combine to make this co-existence possible to make a mass market DRIVE ELECTRIC The Mass market DRIVE ELECTRIC Evolution of Ecosystem • Battery charging stations in various cities for top-up fast charge mandated by regulation and participation by private parties.
